"We were invited to hen of the wood while we were in burlington and I would not have been happier with our experience. they have taken care of cultivating a fine dining room ambiente that is not overcrowded or pretentious. the farm to table experience offered is one of the things we love most about the city burlington, vermont. eating itself is delicious. we had a lot of cold seafood, steaks, sweet and dessert all were excellent. do not skip dessert. her olive oil lemon cake is so good. "We popped in here super early on a Wednesday morning and it was so cozy and quiet. The coffee was great as were the bagels (I had the smoked salmon with capers and dill cream cheese). We were able to sit and read comfortably for at least an hour before it started to get busier. We did find it a bit less enjoyable when the cafe started to fill up with some smaller kids who were obviously a bit more noisy. But this is more of a personal preference and didn’t ruin our experience. If you’re looking for a calm spot to enjoy your morning coffee, head there early and take advantage."

"Avery beautiful Italian fine dining experience. We had made reservations in advance. We started off with a Von Trapp Pilsner and Ginger Ale. This was followed by Focassia with Pesto, Fried Mozzarella and Brussels Sprouts. For main course we had Pappardelle with Mushrooms and a Margherita Pizza. The grand finale was the Tiramisu. I would definitely come back to try more dishes."
