At this vibrant restaurant, the ambiance and food receive high praise, especially for large gatherings and karaoke. However, service inconsistencies mar the experience, with some guests facing long waits for utensils and unfulfilled orders. Reservations for special events are not honored, leading to frustrations. While many highlight the lively atmosphere and reasonable pricing for groups, issues like overcrowding and uncomfortable temperatures detract from the overall enjoyment. Despite these setbacks, the energy of the staff and the fun karaoke option make it a potential favorite for those seeking a lively night out—just be prepared for some bumps along the way.

Was User at MARU a mag?
I visited the Korean city, and I must say that Maru has become my favorite spot due to its ambiance, menu, and vibrant atmosphere, especially at night. If you're only in K-Town for a night, I highly recommend Maru. I went there with a large group to celebrate a friend's birthday, and the manager was incredibly accommodating. We used one of the karaoke rooms, and I can't wait to return! View all feedback.

What User dislikes about MARU:
WOULD NOT COME BACK HERE! I have been to numerous bars and clubs but never have i been refused a glass of water… common bar etiquette and just plain decency was ignored. They demanded $6 cash only for a fiji water bottle and refused to let me pay with my $100. To make it worse, the fiji bottle was room temperature… View all feedback.

It was my first visit. Unfortunately, the air conditioning system was out of operation and my date and I had left due to the unpleasant temperature.

They were great to receive us at short notice. the karaoke stand was funny, although the song selection was not as extensive as we hoped. everything went well to the end. but, 15 minutes before our time was, a coworker gave our bill, and from this time on they started coming into our room to check every other minute if we had paid. she started making faces and annoying what made us all very uncomfortable. it is a pity that her rudeness pampered, which would have been a fun night among friends.

I was thrilled to spend my 23rd birthday in maru, but unfortunately it wasn't what I expected. the food was good, but they told us that they served dinner until 3 o'clock, which they actually only served sushi and roasted eating as appetizers. we ordered our food and they immediately brought us the scare before our food came. they thought we were going out or something that would have been impossible to see that they were on the 3rd floor! we all got our food and there was no cute. we had to ask for a fork and they told us: “They were cleaned”. my mother took her to the house because they wait so cold on a fork and when we came home, we realized that they did not pack the potatoes or brokkoli that came with the food. we were angry to see it was a $22 plate. when they broke out my cake, they left him in the box. long story short, do not go here if you are not Korean because they treat them different!!! the food was great and the place was quite, but terrible service!

The host and the personal could be better guided at the first guest. for example order bar eat only because they do not take out and this is the better choice of food. the lady room could also use a bit tlc.

Made a reservation for 6pm for dinner based on positive reviews on Open Table. Got there a little early but couldn't find the entrance. It turns out it is in an office building and you have to take this shady elevator up to the restaurant. When we finally got inside, we were the only people there. They had no record of our reservation and didn't seem ready for us. When we reviewed the menu, there was very little selection so we ended up leaving. It did have interesting décor and private rooms for karaoke so is probably fun if you are going for karaoke but wouldn't plan on it for a relaxing dinner.
