The restaurant was quite busy, but the staff was courteous. The takeaway took about 20 minutes, but it was worth the wait. The BBQ chicken pizza and the fettuccine australis pasta were both delicious; however, they were a bit pricey for the portion sizes. View all feedback.

Very good and friendly service, but food was average. Lasagne was decent but the seafood al pesce pasta we had was extremely plain. Plenty of ingredients but somehow didn't taste as flavorful as i had hoped. Tiramisu was ok as well.
Always will return to sassafras!. Every time we go to yamba on a family holiday, we make one night is reserved for this restaurant. Friendly service, good food. A little more expensive than you'll probably expect but it's a lovely, fun night and so worth it. Pizzas are yum but I always love the surprise meals (and desserts) on the specials board. Always leave happy and content.
We were on holidays in Yamba and were pleasantly surprised by Sassafras. We were welcomed with big smiles, great service and home cooked food. Menu was great, not too big and they had a few good seasonal specials. Dined with children and we all had a great night, would recommend.
While it's not the most traditional Italian restaurant, the food is excellent, and it's a BYO establishment. The Rat Baits (mini bread balls with garlic butter) are simply the best. The pizzas always come with top-quality toppings.
