Got served and my food in less than 5 minutes and is luckily one of the only late evening/early night places to get fish and chips. Spoiler for 1 was a great portion size for the price and was just what I needed Price per person: $1–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 View all feedback.
What Kacey Lakin dislikes about Barnacle Bill:
Ordered a Prawns and Calamari treasure chest and when I got home 20 minutes later and starting dishing this up it only had calamari in it. Not happy at all!! I have never had a wrong order given to me from them before. Overall the...meals I have had in the past have been good! View all feedback.
Usually I would not review a 'fast food' venue however, the service and food was excellent. So I feel like it deserves some recognition as I've been to restaurants that could learn a thing or two from here. Food came out really quickly and I was honestly at disbelief at the fish, prawns and scallops. Easily some of the best out of typical 'fish and chip' shops I've visited (many over the years!). Fish was moist, had a great taste, wasn't over powered by nasty oil and was delicately coated in a light crumb. Scallops were moist and felt fresh! I was honestly expecting the typical 'hard rubber ball' and the same could be said about the prawn. Overall, when I'm craving some fish and chips I'll be coming back here as I had a great experience.
You walk in at can't tell this place is dated but it's the food that counts and they do it well.
Prawns very tasty, quality evident. Quality always good. Garfish terrific also as is calamari and Barramundi
Great tasting seafood especially the crumbed prawns and calamari . Always cooked to perfection. Good fast service and you can eat in.
Always get well cooked enjoyable food. Have been a regular for a few years. Never been disappointed.
