"We only stopped by for a drink on a Sunday just before lunchtime. The place is nice with a chalet feel to it but the main restaurant is furnished in a more modern way, less wood, sparsely decorated and bright. The waiters are very well dressed, women in traditional Swiss dirndls and the men in waistcoats and ties. I took a look at their menu and their chef, who is mentioned all over the menu as well as in the introduction, seems to be well known and commands a 15 person kitchen brigade. Lots of repeaters seemed to be coming in for their weekly Sunday meals. The menu looked good and resembled all other Swiss mountain restaurants, albeit with higher prices. I am sure the food is good here as the restaurant seems to be the main attraction here.Next time round, we will dine here. I wonder if it can beat my beloved Alpstein in Wildhaus, my favorite restaurant in this town."

"Today we were greeted by a blond lady with a Please? with an unfriendly loud questioning tone. What should the answer be? What do you come to the restaurant for? She continued to behave strangely, never looking in our direction so we can order (there were only 3-4 tables occupied in total). We had to call her, she answered I 'll be right there . But then it came 10 minutes later. And no, she wasn 't busy with the other guests. We still give 5 stars because of the nice quiet location, the excellent view, the delicious (spicy) food, the large portions, the friendly chef, the nice facilities and above all because no alcohol is served. "The rooms were standard but very clean, we traveled with dog and even had a terrace with green area. the breakfast was good and fresh. most convinces next to the location directly on the walensee, the friendliness of the employees. I'd like to go back."

"We were spending night in Flumserberg on our way to Vienna and were recommended here as a reasonably priced option for a family, would hate to have seen the more expensive one. Service was excellent and setting was lovely. Meals were generous portions."

"Absolute no go .. a children's menu (small fries and 2 small schnitzels without anything 24.50 per child, seriously? An adult menu with salad and soup 28.50. Condition was overwhelmed, wrong food brought, waited a very long time for lunch...wrong soup brought...arrived at 12 p.m. and only got our food shortly before 1 p.m....and then the wrong one...absolutely no go for a lunch break... when paying, they were great, the card reader was operated very competently : .. very expensive for a below average service, especially for children.. Sorry, for a high quality kitchen it has to fit around it. Unfortunately we will no longer visit this restaurant, price/performance is absolutely poor."
