We've been here a few times, it's decent. The service has been good, friendly and prompt. The food is not greasy, but you don't get large portions. I like the hot and sour soup and Singapore noodles. I add hot chili sauce for some extra heat. We also had Schezwan fried rice, ginger beef and chicken balls. Which were also good. The rice had lots of meat and veggies in it, which I like. What Toni G doesn't like about Golden Delight Restaurant:
Was not impressed with the lack of food taste besides greasy and quality of it. The service was good but the food not sure if some of what we ordered was reheated in microwave but it was not good. Will not stop next time through., View all feedback.
I tried the buffet on a sunday night. The selection was not good, rice, noodles, a few unappetizing looking fried foods, and a couple beef dishes. Anything with meat was extremely fatty, much of it inedible, the rice was nothing special, the chow mein wasn't particularity good either. Upon paying I was asked how everything was, and I was simply given "oh" as a response. After which I was charged $18 for my experience. Would recommend choosing another location for Chinese in whitecourt.
I've ordered twice and noted that the restaurant didn't have anybody in it which I didn't understand since the both times I've had their food it has been pretty good. I found the service to be quick and courteous. I would eat there again.
Eaten Chinese food thousands of times and this was the worst...chicken was bone and fat...buffet was cold and empty...service horrible, I asked why she never asked how the food was?...she just smiled...I said it was because you knew it was terrible...I wouldn't feed my dog this food!
I have eaten here several times for lunch having the buffet and the food was good. I just stopped and ordered take out and the food was horrific to say the least. $32 and I the only thing I could eat was the soup. SAD!!! Unfortunately they have lost my business.
I stopped in about 5 pm last Sunday evening as I was passing through town. I decided to have the buffet to save some time. The deep fried shrimp had a leathery texture with a minuscule rubber like shrimp inside. Most of the other deep fried foods were of similar quality except the lemon chicken. The lo mien noodles had burnt flavour to them. The won ton soup was great. My Chinese green tea was a tea bag in warm water. At $16.95 for the dinner buffet it was certainly not worth it.
