Penang Szechuan Cuisine - White Rock

My boyfriend and I ordered take-out from Penang's for our date night. We were very satisfied with our order. It was hot and everything was fresh.I would highly recommend the food here! No. 99., 39. & 57a. were all very good!

We visited the Penang whilst spending a night in White Rock at the end of a visit to BC and Alberta. Nothing much to make the premises to stand out from the outside and basic decor on the inside but nothing lacking in either the food or the warmth in the greeting from the staff. Well cooked tasty food in portions designed to satisfy. Highly recommended

I have taken several people to Penang on various occasions, and have never been disappointed! The Northern Chinese cuisine is vastly different from the Chinese cuisine we're used to. The spicy dishes can be made to suit your particular taste, and I have yet to find a dish I didn't like. Penang is a small family restaurant near city center with adequate parking, a friendly and helpful staff, and atmosphere reminiscent of another era. On occasion I have had Penang food delivery. The food arrives piping hot, (always well within the time stated,) the delivery person is a happy soul who will accept tips but doesn't expect them necessarily, and voila my entertaining issues are handled! I recommend making a reservation, as Penang's seating capacity is limited.

Name doesn't work, really not a Szechuan restaurant. Very few items listed as this type of cuisine Good little joint, pricey for what you get, but satisfactory

We had a reservation for Thurs. 6:30 PM for a group of 5. Hubby and I had Spicy Garlic Sauce Mixed Vegetables, Ginger Beef, a side of rice & a half litre of red wine for $41. A friend ordered a vegetarian meal and the others had seafood. Everyone enjoyed their food. It was served promptly and the server was very nice. I will definitely go back.
