We were taking a 1 day trip up the Sea and Sun Highway and decided to stop at this local restaurant in Horseshoe Bay - I heard it had great fish and chips. It had a very nice menu with plenty of variety, beer available, and a pleasant decor and atmosphere. The premises in the restaurant are wheelchair accessible and can also be used with a wheelchair or physiological disabilities, and there is free WLAN. If the weather are right, you can also have something to eat outside.

What Mariane Jones doesn't like about Troll's Restaurants:
50 minute wait for a burger and an order of fish and chips today. Fries were cold, it took another 10 minutes to replace them. And they forgot to even serve the coleslaw that comes with the dish! No explanation, no trying to fix this crappy experience. It looks nice as you walk by but just don't bother. There's much better places nearby. read more.

"Went to Kokomo to try out their plant-based creamsicle milkshake. It was incredible both in flavour and in price at $12. I chased that with a buffalo wrap which didn?t disappoint either. "The food is very good to be honest. I have dined many times already but I decide I will not go again any more.First, I was parking my car when my friend carrying a 10 months old baby lining up at 5pm sharp. My friend requested to get a table first and feed his starving baby. The waitress won't let them in because they said the whole group didn't fully arrive yet. Come on I was parking my car with 3-5 min delays, why can't they be reasonable or kindness to let us get a table and feed the baby first???Second, we have been told there is limited dining time until 6pm while I saw a few 2 people tables and 4 people tables occupied by 1 person only. I know lots of people lining up already but it could be better if they can operate the restaurant more effectively.Third, I ordered a large assorted set for me and my wife, and a soup udon set for my 2 5 and 6 years old kids. Then the waitress said there is a minimum charge and forced me to order more.I love eating Japanese food and admire Japanese culture. This is the worse Japanese dining experience I have ever had in my entire life."

"While we worked in my friend's house over the street, we decided on a Deli sandwich for lunch one of the days and coffee on some of the other days. the Italian deli bungalow was highly recommended. they make them fresh whatever meat and cheese you want. You have to try. They also have outdoor seats for beautiful days."

"Unfortunately, I don’t have any photos of the food. But this was an amazing culinary experience. All the flavours were super balance. The textures and the quality of the ingredients were on point. The service was informal, fast and friendly. I think that was over priced but it was worth it, we got to eat outside. It was nice that the restaurant is not on the main street so we had a quieter experience and the portions were generous. So far this is the only restaurant in Vancouver that I have given a four star review for whatever that is worth. I will be going back to this place 100% for sure. I had the Shawarma and we had another bowl which I don’t recall with rice noodles that was really good too."
