It probably one of the most memorable dining experience we had in a sushi restaurant. The perfectly chosen ingredients are allowed to shine as the star with just the right amount of accompaniments. Everything is perfectly balanced and made with intention. The entire atmosphere is much more fun and relaxed than other Michelin starred restaurants. I love how they show you either an image of the fish you are about to ea... View all feedback.
What Jacobo Mora doesn't like about Sushi Ginza Onodera- LA:
The service was very good, but the food was average; old lime slices, fish not so fresh. I was surprised the chef let the fish tacos leave the kitchen...unacceptable! View all feedback.
So good. Hard to believe you can get a reservation on this platform
Outstanding 2 Michelin star omakase. All of the authenticity of Edo style omakase in Tokyo but less stuff and more fun. With excellent service and atmosphere.
Worth trying,!!!!! Food was interesting but a bit noisy. Did not eat in peace.
Excellent food with wonderful service. They made our dining experience comfortable. The atmosphere was very relaxed. Our server was very attentive and was explaining each dish with the help of pictures (iPad). She was pretty much translating the background and details as told by Executive Chef Matsuki . This restaurant deserves its 2 Michelin stars.
I have been eating sushi since I was a child growing up in Southern California, but have only had two world-class omakase meals in the United States (in Los Angeles and NYC). This was the best sushi meal I have had anywhere and I'd like to personally thank both chef Yohei Matsuki and the entire team for making the experience unforgettable. I'd recommend it to anyone who appreciates the highest quality ingredients all prepared to perfection.
