Was Susanne Körner at Jack's Brasserie a mag?
Une des plus belles tables suisse, où ne peut repartir avec ça faim.Chaque mets découvert pendant le repas fut une découverte de saveurs, pour les yeux ainsi que pour la bouche, a conseiller tres bonne table ! View all feedback.

What Rafael Schüpbach dislikes about Jack's Brasserie:
The brasserie is in a fine Edwardian salle but I found it hard to find anything appetising on the menu. The salmon trout on lentils with chorizo was ok, and the portion quite small, which was fine for me, but probably not for a normal male appetite. The bolognese was cold and arrived 10 minutes after we had received our mains and also mean of portion; a supplementary portion took a further 10 minutes by which time th... View all feedback.

Ausgezeichnetes Essen, schön serviert, kreativ angerichtet, und gepflegter aufmerksamer Service. Was will man mehr? Alles stimmt!

We ate most of our dinners in this restaurant. The offer excellent food; either al la carte or a three course set menue that was different each night.

Perfect Swiss National Day: 4 course menue with an appetizer for 58 Sfr. Lobstersoup, chickenfricassee then beef with gnocchi/vegetables and finally dessert. First Prosecco and then Primitivo. Just excellent food and drinks with the nice view towards Jungfraumassif.

We started with a reservation for Wednesday May 25 at 7pm which was confirmed. On the day of the reservation, we called to see if they opened earlier. We were told they had been trying to reach us by phone, but never left any message: they were closed that night. So we made a new reservation for Friday May 27, at 6.30 pm, which we were told was their opening time.We arrived at the restaurant at 6.25pm on the 27th. We asked where the Brasserie was, the first bar person said it was closed. We stated we had a reservation for 6.30 pm, another more senior bar person came, said it only opened at 7pm. He took us to a table in a very stuffy room (all tables were set, one large one for a group) and said he would check if they opened at 6.30. Came back and said that no, 7 was the earliest. We debated whether to stay, asked to see the menu: it was a very short fixed menu and a four-line a-la-carte list. Outside, on the bulletin board where they show menus, they have a very extensive a-la-carte list for Jack's Brasserie, which is why we had made our reservation. We need an a-la-carte menu as we have dietary restrictions. They blamed the booking errors on the receptionist who took the reservation and to the fact that this was the season's opening day! If this was a brand new hotel and restaurant on their first day of service, we might accept this lame excuse. But this is supposed to be THE Hotel and Restaurant in Wengen.I hope that Michelin or Gault-Millau people make a point to visit this place incognito on their season opening day!!!Their website has been completely wrong about menus, opening days too.The lobby and the location of Jack's Brasserie was musty and stuffy and airless even on a warm day.The personnel did not even have the courtesy to offer us a welcome free drink for all our troubles and their incompetence!!!
