Koon Wah Chinese - Wangaratta

Had dinner here last Sunday night, ordered the beef in black bean sauce and my mate had the combination. Both meals came out very quickly, the waiter was friendly and chatted and overall had a good experience. We ordered fried rice and had enough for both of us. We enjoyed our meals and would go back again next time we are in Wangaratta.

It took an hour to get spring rolls, which were good. The rest of the food was deep fried and full of MSG. The take-away orders were pumping out while we waited for our starters. I was so hungry I walked down the street to see if there was fast food available.

Not a fancy restaurant, but I was surprised how busy it was for a Thursday.I soon found out why as our takeaway was delicious.They want a 50 cent surcharge if you use eftpos.

We placed our orders but as there were no vegetable meals on the menu my wife asked for a vegetable chow mien. When it arrived it was just a plate of stir fried vegetables with no noodles. We commented to the waiter who took the plate away, put a few cold crispy noodles on top, returned the plate without a comment and then disappeared. Very poor service, even as he cleared the plates we were not asked whether we enjoyed the meal or not.My order of sweet
