"While the service is outstanding, it doesn't justify the over-the-top prices! My God! Auckland food can be pricey, but this one is just spooky. Everything is in tapas form (or tiny snack sizes) priced at $18-20 each. You need at least 2 such items to feed yourself. Most people would need 3 to be full. That's $60 for some side dishes. They say authentic Spanish food, but some of the items, like arancini, are Italian dishes, not Spanish. Not to mention, originally, tapas are served as free dishes with drinks in Spain. This is the opposite. If you have money to burn then go. But for the average person, this is where you go to sacrifice your wallet! The photos that others have posted with their reviews make the plates bigger than they are. Trust me."

"Such a shame what has happened to this place, as a regular vendor here for weddings I constantly hear complaints from people around food and service. We experienced it for ourselves when we stayed a couple of months ago, worst food I've had at a restaurant in a long time and the staff are so incredibly rude and clearly have no training. This place is going down the toilet. I complained, still waiting on a call from the manager 2 months later zzzzzz. Breakfast was included and we didn't even stay for it. As regular travelers we never miss Breakfast, that's how bad our dinner was"

"We went to this place on a nice quiet tuesday evening, all the locals were at the bar having a drink, but the dining area is separated so it feels a little classier. We ordered a small meat pizza to share, it was very generously sized and so tasty with a crispy crust, chewy base and piled with pork, bacon, chicken and salami. The mains were linguini with scallops and the pork belly which we also shared. <br/>I dont usually order pasta at restaurants because it's so simple to make myself, but this was fantastic made with fresh pasta and a big handful of tender scallops. The pork belly was mind blowing, the meat was tender and the fat melted in my mouth, but the apple sauce on top was a little overkill and the chickpea/tomato mixture below was bland, we didn't really eat it. It's pricy, about $30 for a main, but a lovely meal for a treat while you're out that way."
