"Paris Bakery Cafe reminded my wife of Germany. We visited Paris Bakery Cafe twice on our trip to Blenheim and Back to Christchurch. There is sitting available inside and outside. There is a toilet inside. Let's talk about the food. It is awesome. We enjoyed the delicious bread and snacks. Coffee was good too. There are a lot of peaking outside. We enjoyed this cafe and will revisit again if passing through"

"Called in after doing a nature walk trail. The pleasant outlook from the new(? deck with drink in hand was exactly what we needed. We had a bowl of chips (fries which were quite tasty. The menu offered us more choices which we will go back and sample another time. Our visit rounded off a great day out."

"I recently had the pleasure of visiting Waipara Hills, a vineyard in Waipara, Canterbury, New Zealand, and I have to say, it was a stunningly beautiful experience. The wines are truly fantastic, with a wide range of varietals to choose from. The flavors were well-balanced, and the prices of bottles were more than reasonable. The real highlight of my visit was the restaurant, which exceeded all of my expectations. The food was absolutely delicious, with a menu that featured a variety of dishes that were expertly prepared. The restaurant truly felt like a 5-star establishment, with a focus on providing a unique experience to patrons. The staff were also top-notch, and they were incredibly knowledgeable about the wines and food. I would highly recommend Waipara Hills to anyone looking for a fantastic wine-tasting experience with delicious food. It's truly a hidden gem in Waipara, Canterbury."

"My first visit or first stop more Like and it won’t be my last. Loved the big breakfast I had there and the plates were even warmer apart from the nice hot food. The hosts were so friendly, nice to feel the warmth as you walk in too."

"The Hogget is a small bar and restaurant with a big outdoor area that would be beautiful on a nice day. The staff were really nice and provided good service. The drinks list is small but well chosen and there is a good range of dishes on the menu. However, we felt a bit let down by our main meals. My steak was cooked properly but over seasoned i.e. very peppery. Likewise my fries were too salty. The salad was good it was a bit more interesting than most green salads. My friend's chicken dish was very dry. He asked for no bacon as he doesn't eat pork, but the dish still had bacon in it. The apple pie, however, was excellent. Attractively presented, it had lots of yummy custard, the right amount of ice cream and cream, and a light flaky pastry that made the dish light and not at all stodgy, unlike most apple pies. I think with a few tweaks this could be an excellent restaurant."

"Very nice! We really enjoyed our afternoon tasting time despite bad weather, the place isn’t huge or fancy looking, but surely homey. Their wines taste real special, I especially like the Riesling. Also, very surprised to know about their Gin and Limoncello, both of which are exquisitely delicious. Cheese board are nice and generous in size, and the waxy honey is a great touch."

"Good pizza's but the standard of dress on the counter and the scruffy male in a hoodie with unkempt hair is a put off. Also when you phone to place an order the staff can not hear what you are saying because of the extreme fan noise."
