Artisan Bistro is a polarizing spot among diners. While some found the food questionable and disappointing, others were left raving about the fantastic dining experience. With dishes like wild mushroom crepes and king salmon impressing some diners, the prices are considered worth it for the quality. Friends & family ambiance is enjoyable, but the chilly drafts from the door and loud environment detract from the overall experience. Overall, Artisan Bistro offers a great culinary experience for those willing to give it a try, but improvements in seating and reservation policies could elevate it to an exceptional level.

On a family visit in Victoria we decided to try out this fairly new bistro. It is simple and tasteful inside and has some bistro tables outside if you wish to enjoy dining out there. Their menu has some good choices and ideas and some delightful combinations of foods. Their pork belly salad looked amazing and their greens with goat cheese and a ginger dressing was delicious. Their burgers were generous and tasty, and having their truffle fries along with them was a great choice. The seafood pasta carbonara had a rich and wonderful sauce and this is one of the best pasta dishes I have had in a restaurant in a long time. We tried out a couple of their desserts which were most decadent! In all it was a lovely surprise to eat here and we had excellent service along with a very delicious meal. We will try it again on our next visit!

We are from out of town. We made a wrong turn while out exploring and stumbled across the Artisan Bistro. While a bit pricier than we planned, we decided to give it a try because they allow dogs outside their fenced patio. I am glad we did. The dinner was incredible. The best meal we had in 4 days exploring Victoria. We were so impressed we came back in two days for brunch. Service was not super fast, but not unreasonable either. The waiters all took time to make recommendations and talk to us. Overall this was a great dining experience.

We've been here now twice for breakfast and our parents have visited for supper. Every meal so far has been outstanding! An interesting variety of fresh-made foods are offered daily and ours were all cooked to perfection! They even make their own condiments and jams! The bennies are all really good and the suppers my parents had (fish & chips and a boullibaise) were pronounced the best they've ever had! Service is good and friendly and there's a wonderful patio to sit on in good weather. They even have a 'garage-style' door on the front that when open, makes you feel like you're outside even when your in! A welcome addition to the Broadmead neighborhood!
