my husband & I have eaten here twice now, once for lunch & second for dinner. an amazing restaurant that presents local meats, cheeses & produce (to name just a few items) all sourced right here in the Okanagan -midtown also offers a gluten free menu & the charcuterie board is OUT OF THIS WORLD! the drink specials, fun cocktails & local beers are an amazing compliment to your meal at lunch or dinner. What User dislikes about Midtown Bistro:
On August 3 four of us had dinner here and my friend and I ordered the stir fry. It was a huge disappointment as the veggies were so overcooked that we only ate a little of the meal. It looked & tasted as if it had been cooked the day before & then heated up. It was embarrassing as we had recommended this place to our friends after a previous dinner here. View all feedback.
I visited this restaurant based on a recommendation before heading to a nearby show and I was not let down! The service was very friendly and quick, and the food was excellent. I ordered the veggie sliders with Mac n cheese and they tasted delicious. The rest of my group also enjoyed their meals. Keep up the good work!
I have dined at this restaurant twice and the food is amazing! I tried the goat cheese and pear salad with chicken and it was delicious. The ingredients were all fresh and the presentation was great. The cornbread is made in-house and it was also very tasty. The service was quick and the staff was polite. I would definitely recommend this place.
I used to love this restaurant and had been a frequent visitor, but my enthusiasm has waned. The charcuterie board was amazing, but now they serve toast with butter instead of crackers, which I found to be a letdown given the cost. Additionally, I'm not a fan of their social media posts where they often share their challenges - every business experiences difficulties, but I don't think it's necessary to constantly seek sympathy from the public. While the menu is decent and the food is tasty, there are better dining options in Vernon. It appears that they have reached a plateau and need to step up their game, as they used to be exceptional.
During a summer visit to see family, we decided to dine at Midtown Bistro and were pleasantly surprised by the delicious food. Their charcuterie boards are unmatched by any other restaurant in Vancouver. I have included photos of both boards below. The service was great and we are now fans of this restaurant.
My experience at this restaurant was impeccable. The butter chicken I ordered was the best I have ever had, with a rich cherry tomato flavor that added a depth of umami. My husband thoroughly enjoyed the sliders, praising the juicy and flavorful patties. The pear goat cheese salad he ordered was equally delightful. Additionally, the service provided by the friendly staff was exceptional.
