Another reviewer enjoyed drinks but found the food options lacking. However, the hühnerburger was praised for being crispy and juicy. Despite inconsistencies in food quality, the service was good. The atmosphere is lively with trivia nights and music. Prices are reasonable and prime rib was a standout dish, despite some flaws. With a convenient location and happy hour specials, this restaurant is a great place for drinks and casual dining.
We have been here more than once. Every time we have the worst service unless we go up the bar and order for ourselves. I wouldn't have gone back but it was s company function through my husband. I won't ever go back. The bus boy was great and the bartender were great but ever server in the place could read up on customer service. Oh, and there is no A/C - it was 30 degrees outside...
My first visit, came before the TOOL concert, the Music was really good, the food and drinks were equally tasty. great visit and new watering hole before a concert.
My wife and I stopped in the Library Square Public House at around noon on Motherʻs Day Sunday. We were visiting Vancouver for the weekend and just needed a quick bite before we left for the airport. The Library Square pub was just around the corner from our hotel, so the location was wonderfully convenient. When we walked in, the place had one other table, with four patrons, so it certainly wasnʻt busy. We found a booth with stuffing come out of the leather, but it was quiet.I ordered the chicken and waffles, which were blah. The chicken was a deep fried chicken breast that you would get from a frozen bag full at costco, but the waffle was well done. Not sure it needs the sunny-side up egg on it, but I simply moved that to the side.My wife had the Quinoa & Sugar Snap Pea salad. It was delicious, minus the fact that it did not come with dressing on it. I had to get up and ask for it, since nobody came back to check on us once the food was delivered. The staff was bored and more concerned with each other than us, except for when it was time to pay the bill. When that time came, I told the server we would be paying cash and she stood right by my side until I had counted out the amount plus tip. It was a truly awkward experience. Iʻm sure she didnʻt mean for it to be so odd, but really, she could have easily excused herself for two minutes. She had no problem being a ghost the rest of our meal.Food was good, service was below average. I suggest giving your money to an establishment that appreciates their customers.
Prime rib dinner was very good, though a bit salty & the Yorkshires were kind of droopy. Price was definitely right and the location is close to the stadium, theatres and the Chinatown Skytrain stop.Service was prompt & friendly enough, but it was hard to hear the server, over the loud music/TV.
Looking for a quick place to grab a beer and nachos before the hockey game? This is it. It was busy but they found us room, food and a cold beer.
