Had a premium deal (only $12 per head) lunch at this eatery located in the food court of the Garden City. Set-up is quite attractive with a big red crane hanging from the ceiling to stand out its logo. Ordered the Salmon Steak and Wagyu Beef as the main accompanied with a Spring Roll and a cup of Miso soup. What Bert Cassin dislikes about Red Crane:
some cheap sushi in the upper floor garden city eating place. for only $2 for all sticks of sushi they can not expect too much. some of the aromes are really nice as the crispy boar and teriyaki huh. the sticks of sushi are not too big, but cannot really complain for $2. a really great option for a quick and easy lunch I tried the meal before, but not so impressed by the sizes or aromes. I always stay on sushi and it... View all feedback.
Out of the sushi places at Garden City I prefer the sushi from here, it is packed with lots of flavour. Although the range is quite small and they are a bit stingy on the avocado, the price and flavour makes up for it.
Wrong choice of food or food just bad in general? Had the gyoza, it was so bad I think they pre-pan fry them and then reheat them in the microwave, should have gone to hakataya for that ????
Had Red Crane at Garden City (upstairs food court) when they had Groupon deals. The meal portion was pretty generous and taste wasn't bad either. The texture of their beef steak is quite dry and not juicy enough. Their salmon was well done, but quality was still good. Honestly not bad for foodcourt type food, their turn-around rate is very well controlled, however a couple of their staff had trouble understanding english which is a big negative for anyone who does business in a busy shopping centre (similar to some restaurants in eight street). Overall it was pretty good, I rate it 8/10 for foodcourt food!

Portions of the mains are generous and Salmon and Beef were done in the usual Japanese style (I prefer both of them not well done) and both dishes taste good. Surprisingly, hero is the Spring Roll which was crispy with juicy ingredients and rich sweetness from the cabbages. Overall, it is a very good deal although dishes were not done by Japanese but I still appreciate the performance of those Chinese staff at the front and also in the kitchen.
Although this is a fast food type outlet we enjoyed our food all freshly cooked on the spot to order. Admit it was only noodles for myself, but they were very tasty & filling due to the generous serve. Also had a miso soup which was really good. My friend ordered the teriyaki salmon with rice & commented full on flavor. Fast service tasty food good combo!
