I came here based on a recommendation, and the food was good—typical bar fare. However, there was no sweet tea available and only RC cola served. The fried pickle spears were excellent, featuring a light batter similar to that used in fish and chips. The grilled shrimp skewers were also outstanding, with 14 skewers per serving. The potato skins were just average. The prices were typical for bar food. The place was bu... View all feedback.
What Crispy Joe dislikes about Trident Grill:
I ordered the clam chowder served in a bread bowl, but there was barely any soup inside, with much more bread than there should have been. My wife had the BLT, and the bacon was lacking flavor, while the bread was limp and soggy. Our server, Kristen, appeared to be in a bad mood and wasn't very attentive. We weren't checked on even once, and our drinks weren't refilled, despite her walking by several times and placin... View all feedback.
Our waitress Kaytlynn was fantastic. She was friendly and very personable. We shared a large nacho with beef and had their salsa and avocado lime sauce on the side. Oh let me tell you how incredibly delicious it all was. The salsa had such a wonderful roasted tomato taste that I just loved. And the avocado lime sauce was superb. The nachos were very good and HUGE! I loved the freshly made tortilla chips. I also noticed a waitress named Alexis who was also very attentive to her customers, but really impressed me when she asked the people at the table behind me if they wanted glasses of water to take with them. The chef was very obliging when I had asked for a sample of their gumbo and clam chowder. I had never had gumbo before but it was good. The chowder would have tasted better had it not only smelled burnt but had a slight burnt taste to it also. It was not the best I've ever had, but I would eat it again if not burnt. And the drink called Tucson Tap Water was tasty. And I don't care for gin or vodka but it was good.
When I visit Tucson, this is my go-to restaurant. Large portions, kind staff, very attentive. The food is some of the best ever. I will be back again and again. Passing through today. Had to stop in. Love it!
If you’re a vegetarian and looking for some delicious burger, you must try Mushroom Swiss with impossible burger patty at Trident grill! Had the same menu a month back and went there again this week. Would love to visit soon!
It’s all hands on deck at the Trident Grill III where the service is over the top and the food and drink will torpedo any appetite! Our recent stop was on the recommendation of a friend who promised to walk the plank if we weren’t satisfied. Suffice to say we could not have had a more pleasant time. Our sandwiches (a Cuban and a cheeseburger) and huge sides of onion rings were simply exceptional. We’re not into beer selections, but we were impressed with the robust menu of lagers and ales. We enjoyed a lemonade and an ice tea. The quality of our meals was high and the tab was very, very reasonable. The service is 5 stars. It’s full speed ahead for the Trident the next time we have a hankering for classic tavern food!
Delicious foods to appropriate trips. were huge. I had the clam chowder and southwest caesar salad and my man had the maui wowie burger. I would recommend both. the waiting staff was friendly and efficient. we would definitely go back if we were back in the opposite.
