The restaurant was very busy and we had to wait for a little over 30 minutes, but we found the wait time to be acceptable.

Being from the US, and not being familiar wit... read more While waiting for the Tsawwassen Ferry to Nanaimo we visited the mall, and then went looking for someplace to eat. Being from the US, and not being familiar with the restaurant's we thought Montana's a safe bet and we weren't wrong. The restaurant is open and area with a honky tonk decorating style. Our waitress was knowledgeable and courteous. The menu has a broad selection of appetizers and entrees - similar to an Applebee's Chili's, etc - but with a BBQ flair. We decided on the BBQ sampler - which was ribs, beef BBQ, a pulled pork slider sandwich, and chorizo sausage. It was enough for the two of us, and it gave us a very nice selection. All the food on the sampler platter was hot and well prepared, and we especially enjoyed the ribs. For what appears to be a regional/national chain, the food was great and it had the atmosphere and service of a local BBQ joint. A nice surprise and worth the visit.

My daughter treated me for my birthday and we naturally ordered the beef and pork ribs. Our whole family including my 3 young grand children loved the food . Yes a nice place to enjoy a good old American style food if one is visiting Tsawwassen Mills Shopping.
