The Townsville Brewery - Townsville

Having visited an array of restaurants for a meal in Townsville in our recent holiday....we find The Brewery caters the best meal in town, and their beer is superb. Loved their humungous TV which was an ideal gadget for rugby followers like us. We enjoyed our meals & the customer service is great

Food was great atmosphere was also great. Only downside - the live music was a bit loud for the dinner time rush.

This was a real surprise - the beer is truly excellent. They offer tasting paddles with a range of beers in small glasses to try, and locally produce them all. From a clean lager through pale ale, whitbier, smooth creamy beers to an excellent stout. We had the burgers and these were good as well. There is a high end restaurant option at the other end of the building but it was closed at the time. it is in a converted classic old building (the old post office).

A real surprise packetif you are looking for a an "old fashion "pub or an upmarket restaurant here is one in the same.the staff are friendly and know as much about good wine as they do about their beers- which is a nice changethe food in the "pub" is simple but very tasty the restaurant is very good and has the service to match great place to catch up or start an great night highly recommended

Came here for State of Origin 1! Great atmosphere, even the staff were dressed up and celebrating Food and beer were excellent again, and the new prickly cider was very nice
