Eat This:1. Start with a bourbon drink2. Order the scallop appetizer. They're simple and good. 3. Order the lamb. It is a chef specialty. 4. Deconstructed chocolate cake. It's late and good. Good restaurant and atmosphere. Lovely ambience and a great place to dine in general. I was visiting on business and stopped here for dinner. Great service.

My wife had the Bison tenderloin and I had the veal, along with a side order of roasted ramps. All three items were superb, as were the oysters we had as a starter with a glass of champagne. Service was pretty slow and we took our own bottle of wine (1995 Chateau Margaux) which they were very slow to open for us. There were also a couple of little kids running around which took a bit of the edge of our quiet, romantic, anniversary dinner. Had I seen the family there when we were seated i would have requested a table further back where it was more quiet. Actually the hostess should have done that for us as we told her it was our anniversary and showed her the wine. However, I still give it a 5 star rating and the food is highly recommended.

Last night was my first time dining at North 44, and I was absolutely blown away! My amazing experience began when the restaurant called earlier in the day to confirm my reservation. I don't recall his name who called, but it was a manager from North 44. He was very pleasant and professional, and had me looking forward to dining with them. When we arrived, the valet was welcoming and warm. Our server Alexandra was outstanding!! My boyfriend and I can't decide what was better, the service or the food. Both were THAT good. We had the seared diver scallops, which were cooked perfectly. It was seared with a watercress puree and a tempura onion ring, it was a perfect pairing. We ordered the rack of lamb as the main. We couldn't decide what to get on the side, so Alexandra made some recommendations. We love brussel sprouts, but noticed they were not on the menu. Alexandra went to check with the kitchen to see if they could do a side of them for us, and they were happy to accommodate our request. We had mentioned that we had not tried Fiddleheads before, when our dinner arrived she had the chef add a few Fiddleheads to our dish for us to try! After our dinner we were too full to order dessert, so she brought us over a couple of bite sized profiteroles. They were AMAZING, and the perfect end to an amazing meal. What a wonderful dining experience. Can't wait to go back again, and again.

A perennial favourite of ours in North Toronto Yonge Street corridor . Always has a great selection of seasonal game, meats, fish & fowl . We started with a scrumptuous selection of East Coast oysters : Malpeque, Raspberry Point & Village Bay - all unique & delicious . I selected Chicken Supreme braised with a smokey tinge, while others enjoyed Prime Strip Loins, beautifully tender all combined with fiddleheads & green asparagus a la carte . Selected a Tom George Russian River Pinot Noir which was disappointing versus others from this region, esp. given high price $159 . From experience, seating in the centre of restaurant can be so noisy that conversation is difficult - I prefer booths for this reason . Staff are very competent & helpful, as was Shaleena on this occasion ! (I miss their Alaska Black Cod !)

Nice restaurant, the lighting is beautiful and food even better. The service was wonderful, a place definitely worth visiting again.

The restaurant offers valet parking for $15 or Green P parking on Sherwood and Yonge for $6. If you're willing to search for street parking further away, it is free. The hostess greeted us immediately and the wait staff did their best to accommodate everyone. The tuna capaccio appetizer is highly recommended and there are several vegetarian options available upon request. The truffle risotto, filled with mushrooms and root vegetables, was delicious and well worth the price.

The food was good and the price was ok. However, Bymark would be a better option.

My boyfriend surprised me with a birthday dinner at this restaurant and I was extremely impressed with the delicious food and impeccable service. They have a wide selection of wines, as well as oysters and caviar. It is the perfect choice for a special celebration.

Probably the most expensive meal I've ever bought, and probably the best I've ever eaten. I literally left this restaurant asking myself what have I been eating my whole life. Every bite of every dish was perfect. Everything they served was so beautiful it put magazines to shame. I ate very slowly, appreciating the complex flavours. Masterful chefs. I couldn't help but take photos of my food like a bumpkin. What an experience. I'm almost afraid to return for fear that it will spoil ordinary food forever.
