Visited this establishment on Monday August 14th prior to a Jay's game. Made a reservation for 5pm and our table was ready for us.There were two of us. We each ordered three tacos, plus drinks.I had the off-menu special, chicken fuego; the carne asada, and "in cod we trust." All three were VERY tasty. I have to admit that when I go for Mexican food I am looking for authenticity and traditional tastes. This place was the opposite of that. While the food wasn't bad (the tacos and Mexican corn definitely had a lot of flavours), it tasted overproduced -- like Top 40 hits manufactured by Max Martin or Dr. Luke. Top 40 appeals to a lot of people and La Carnita will too, but it didn't ring true for me personally. read more.
