What Hannah McCullough dislikes about The Cup and Cake:
This restaurant is set in a gorgeous old house next to a church dated 1867 in downtown Tillsonburg. The menu choices were innovative and tantalizing. We placed our orders with our server. The food turned out to be excellent but the service was substandard. It was slow and on multiple occasions we witnessed servers going back to the kitchen empty-handed. We enjoyed the friendly service, tasty food and ambience! Close to downtown shopping...a great place to take a break! Thank you!
A happy, friendly small town experience, with great food and phenomenal desserts! The fact that is it in a historic manse, increases the pleasure of coming. Make sure you have a reservation. Ladies when asked large or small-pick small. The only thing wrong with it is that it is not open for supper or I would eat all my meals here.
Lovely old home and delicious food, great combo. The service was good too. Its so busy you usually have to reserve for the lunch hours

Enjoyed lunch with a family member. The front room is the more attractive of the two in a historic home. My son loved a sandwich of real chicken breast, stuffing and cranberry sauce on a ciabatta bun, while I had a nice-tasting curried soup with a sandwich with garlic-flavored chicken, stuffing and cheddar cheese, all grilled on a panini press. There was a wide selection of baked good and we took a sampling of four home to enjoy with the rest of the family. The carrot cake was very good, as was a chocolate cheese cake-like tart. Service was friendly and helpful. While we did not make reservations, we arrived just before the lunch rush -- the place fills up quickly as there is not a lot of seating and its clear that local really enjoy this place.
