Ichiban Sushi House - Thornhill

We had four soups - I had the Bugoli soup which had veg and rib eye steak , and the others had the soup with the egg on top. Everyone loved their soups and we received free green tea and some veggies as a appetizer. The service was excellent, the restaurant was clean and tidy, bathrooms were fresh and clean and the service excellent. The soup was so hot we had to transfer it to a new bowl; she was quick and apologetic. I would come again.

Started off great. Seated right away. Not busy so choice seating. Took our order fairly quickly. Polite young hostess/waiter. Brought food also fairly quick. All at once! We ordered a sushi pizza to share and one bento box each which came with steamed rice, miso soup and house salad. Uh....couldn't you wait till we finished our pizza? Indeed, we had, at our fingertips - soup, salad, rice, bento boxes, sushi pizza (excellent!) and booze! Boy was I feeling warm and full in a hurry! The food was deeelicious. And there was sooo much of it! (We always think we are much more hungry than we actually are. Does that happen to you?? We seem to misjudge that....alot! Big eyes, small stomachs!) We did enjoy ourselves despite the massive amount of fare in front of us....until the take-out orders became more important than us, the seated customers. Trying to ask for our bill we noticed another table trying to get "anyone's" attention. Once our waiter noticed our frantic waves, we received our ice cream, the finale he had long forgotten. The ice cream didn't disappoint. Sooo good. (Yes I had room for dessert. Always have always will!) It was just about time to roll on out... being a tadbit full to say the least. We will definitely return as this was our first time at Ichiban Sushi House. Hoping the staff will be more attentive....?! All in all a delicious food experience. And enough for lunch the next day. Roll me out, again!

This place is very close to me, and the sushi has always been good and consistent. That being said, we had been overlooking the fact that they have Korean food as well!We tried the bimbimbap, and it was amazing! Very authentic and flavourful! The Korean food is just as good as any Korean restaurant. Highly recommended!

My family and I visit 2-3 times a month. It's my go-to sushi restaurant!! very affordable and the sasimi is really good.

For my first experience this was a bit of a let down. Walking in on a Sunday night at 7:30 there was not one person there. To me that is usually not a good sign. Their menu was ok, the staff was friendly and the quality of food was good. Nothing to exciting to write home about:) just everyone on trip-advisor.
