35 of us, including my 95-year-old father, had eaten together for my mother's 97th birthday. We wouldn't have asked for better service, better food, incredible consideration for my mother. They even cut the cake and served it for $1.00. We are all blown away with all the time we were there, let alone with our extended family and families. So thank you TEA TREE GULLY Pub. We'll all be back.
What Mercedes Batz dislikes about The Gully Public Teahouse and Garden:
Both my friend and i were happy with this choice of venue for lunch. The pasta dish of chicken, spinach wine and cream was delicious but way too much. Half serves would be a great addition to the menu. My pork belly was very nice and if you like crispy crackling, this is for you! Great selection on the salad n veg bar along with soup. We met our extended family here for dinner and we all had a great time. We received great table service and the meals are very generous in size. One of our family members meal was late in coming out and she was given a free drink and discount which was nice. I had the mojito oysters which were amazeballs!
Went for dinner on a friday night hadnt been for a few years since the reno service was outstanding food was great excellent all round will be back
We went for lunch on a quiet Monday in one of the booths in the interior garden area of the Gully pub. The barman/waiter was fantastic and his service impeccable. Meals were of large proportions and well cooked. Cost was average for the local eateries. Very pleasant lunch.
There is plenty of seating many of them with views to the outside tall Gum trees and walk ways. There is table service by attentive staff and a great variety of meals and alcoholic drinks to choose from. My choice was a combination of seafoods, including prawns, but was told prawns were unavailable, would I prefer extra salt and pepper squid or an extra piece of fish. I opted for the fish, but was disappointed at this restriction. The salad bar provided was plentiful in choice, and there was one type of soup also on offer. For my taste the thin soup contained too much fat, although the pieces of beef among the few vegetables were tender and lean. The prices were a little on the high side. The venue is comfortable and brightly lit by daylight. Like in many hotel restaurants in Adelaide a gaming (pokies) room is made available here.
Pleasant surrounds, comfortable venue with reasonably priced food. My barramundi dish from the main menu was a large serve, and the lunch specials were also very generous. Only complaint was my latte was very weak and I requested another one. I have only dined there for lunch, but I do recommend it.
