Hockey Central - Sylvan Lake

Have been twice. Not the best food I have ever had. It's a sports bar, so it is noisy which is expected.

Came in with my husband and mother in law and the service was absolutely terrible. It took about ten minutes to get drink order, my mother in law ordered a de-caf coffee, which took 40 mins to get. First the server said she would be right back with it the second time she came she told us it was not made at the bar and she had to go to the kitchen and finally the third time she just said well I'm really busy. With our meal order she did not write it down and after about 5 minutes she came back to confirm the order which she guessed at and said you wanted chicken on your taco salad right and my mother in law said no beef and to my husband said you wanted sweet potatoe fries right and no soup said my husband. when she brought meals out the taco salad came with chicken and the club with regular French fries and we had to tell her it was wrong. Its really to bad because the food is quite good however the service is consistently terrible. Will definitely not be going anytime soon and especially if we see this particular server is working.

New to Sylvan, just stopped for a bite to eat. Food was alright (we had fish and chips, sweet potato fries. The dips were homeade :) ). Server was friendly. Many TV's, which is alright if you're there to watch games. They have 2 pool tables and a couple video games and a juke box.

Been here a few times and thought the food was really good. Every time getting drinks was painfully slow, maybe if they don't have enough servers they can't keep service up. It's so bad I will go if I'm by myself so I can sit at the bar, with my wife we go elsewhere to sit for dinner. Maybe order two drinks with dinner because you will not see your server again for a very long time.

Great Beef Brisket Tacos 2 for5$ Don't let the reasonable price fool you, they are delicious. A perfect pairing with the Chestnut Beer from the Whstler Brewery.
