Contribute Feedback Was Quinton Steuber at Cafe Foveaux a mag?
Staying at the Rydges Central where breakfast is standard hotel fayre at $25 to $32, we looked for something more interesting. Cafe Foveaux is a block away. It is a simple, lively working cafe serving coffee to full breakfast (massive breakfast for $14) and foccacia style sandwiches etc for lunch. My go-to when I have lunch with my fussy Mum near work because it offers all the usual suspects of an old school cafe. Sandwiches, selection of hot meals from the Bain Marie and cooked to order such as hamburgers. Last time I was here with Mum we got the roast dinner and it was decent. Really nice sandwiches and lovely staff ^^ Stopped by after my lecture, sadly the exact sandwich I wanted wasn't available but the man at the counter suggested one they did have which was similar and toasted it up for me. The cafe is actually quite large so you never have to worry about a lack of room.
Came here for lunch today with some mates and had the chicken pesto with parmesan cheese as well as, calamari with chips. The chips tasted decent and the calamari were large in size. The tartare sauce was great. Best of all, the staff were friendly and the cafe provided a wonderful atmosphere, which wasn't too busy. This cafe is great for grabbing a quick bite or catching up with mates. I recommend to all.
Yum sandwich, yogurt was light and great mixture of fruit and nuts, cool staff.
What? What do you want? Coffee? Juice? Salads? Burgers? Bagels? Focaccias? Yes yes yes, they have all this and more.
