Burger King - Strathroy

Decided we needed a quick dinner tonight. Quality was on par with previous BK experiences. Decided on milkshakes, happy we did. Lots of flavour, nice and thick.

I hate to admit how much I love fast food but it is what it is. One item that I am personally addicted to is the whopper. I loved it when they had $2 Wednesday whoppers and it was not abnormal for me to come home with one for me and one for my bulldog who loved them as much or more then I did.

Recently needing a quick lunch istopped in at the Burger King on Center Road Strathroy. I viewed the menu and chose the Big King Meal Deal. the time from taking the order till food delivery was about 1 minute. The burger was well trimmed and hot and very tasty the fries hot and just cooked right. I chose a coffee instead of a soft drink and it was served quickly. The restaurant was very clean and well maintained. The washrooms were very clean and well supplied. Overall this was fast food supreme.

We were in Strathroy on other business, had not had lunch, and had hoped for a nice break at the Burger King on the road out to the highway. I had my taste buds set for a BK veggie burger, and I needed to check and respond to some emails.First disappointment: no WiFi sign on the door. Second disappointment: not a trace of a WiFi signal at this Burger King. Third disappointment: when I ordered a veggie burger meal, the counter person frowned and said, "Oh, er, uh," and hustled back to the food prep area. She came back with the news that they were having trouble with their grill and couldn't make veggie burgers. Since I don't eat beef or chicken, my remaining option was a Big Fish sandwich, not really what I was fixin' for.Food was very slow coming out, but in fairness, was quite tasty when we finally received it. My wife had a Whopper Junior and salad, with her delay blamed upon the grill troubles. My delay was blamed upon taking extra time to prepare fish. (Better than the extra time than a previously cooked and reheated fish patty.)The staff were friendly, courteous, and apologetic. The floors were very muddy, possibly from several construction workers in line ahead of us.All in all, with the disappointments and slow preparation time, I can't in good conscience rate this visit more than average.

This Burger King is waaaaay out of the way from the freeway exit Thankfully we eventually found it! Service here was fast and friendly.
