We were determined to try poutine from as many places as we could cram into a 4-day trip to Montreal, and I thought La Belle Province's was the best. The servings were giant, absolutely shareable. I loved the oldy-timey diner look and the open counter where the cooks would crack jokes with each other and customers. Nice, nice place. Family friendly and good for the budget. View all feedback.
What User dislikes about La Belle Province:
Absolutely the WORST- the manager guy said he spits in food. Was there a few weeks ago with friends and the manager guy was loud and rude to a lot of people, he was talking about his behind and swearing, and how he has spit in food a few weeks ago.to say the least this is the worst of all La belle provinces in Montreal, dont eat there, go see for yourself, you cant miss the guy that works there at night, short, fat ,... I live close to this restaurant and have been running a business nearby since 2011. I have always been hesitant to dine there, but decided to give it a try for the first time today. I ordered my food and was surprised to find out they only accepted debit or cash, not credit cards or other forms of payment. When I asked about this, the staff member rudely informed me that they only accepted Interac. I suggested they put up a sign indicating their payment policy, but received no response. Fortunately, I had an Interac card with me and was able to pay. Additionally, I was told I had to choose Coca-Cola as my drink, but insisted on Pepsi instead. The staff member became angry and said it was either Coca-Cola or nothing. I decided to cancel my order and went elsewhere to dine. I caution others to be cautious when dining at this restaurant and to be aware of their payment and menu restrictions. It was a lesson learned for me, but I will not be returning to this establishment.
The breakfast at this restaurant is both beautiful and simple, with excellent service. The coffee was hot, the eggs were perfectly cooked, and there was a nice selection of toast options.
I stopped by this restaurant for a quick bite before heading to Guzzo Cinema to catch a movie. It was my first time trying it out, and I was not disappointed. The service was quick and friendly. I ordered the smoked meat with fries and both were delicious. The portion size was very generous, I couldn't even finish my whole plate. The restaurant was bustling with people, and there was a line forming as I left. This was just my first visit, and I can't wait to come back next time I'm in the area for a movie and a quick meal.
Came to lunch here. lively little place, but faster service. the hot dogs and poutins are great. the poutine part is very generous. if they want fat food, it's the place!
