This is a great pub! Stopped here to grab a good quick biteI have to admit, it was a perfect stop.
The food is good but nothing special and really lacking for the priceThe service both visits I have been has been lacking.

"We both had the 7” shrimp Po-Boy. I added a side of fritten and we ended up with a dessert I can't say much less spell. everything surpassed our expectations, and my wife still saved over eating. this place was called by google maps and was the short way around the carbahn well worth! btw, we have the half of the food we ordered as rest. huge portions!"

"We enjoyed Mother's Day brunch very much. Our waitress was Katie and she treated us royally. The food was delicious and just the right portions. When we were escorted to our first table my wife and I noticed a cool draft of wind from the ac. We mentioned it to the hostess. She immediately, without hesitation or any sign of annoyance, looked at her seating chart, apologized for the draft, and brought us to an adjacent room to another table where we enjoyed a fine brunch. The ambiance in this restaurant is pleasing to the eye and everyone around us seemed to be having an enjoyable time as well. My wife and I highly recommend Palmettos on the Bayou Restaurant. It's fine dining at it's best"

"So glad we stopped from southside when I was in slidell to work my truck on. we had lunch, but it was worth it. my wife had the new orleans muffaletta and I had the Irish channel gumbo. the muffaletta was excellent and was really enough that two people could have ordered and shared. I was interested not only to try the Irish channel gumbo, both the seafood gumbo and the chicken sausage gumbo, but the two gumbums were separated by their potato salad. now I have heard of some sharing from louisiana who serve gumbs with kartoffel salad, but I never had it like that. it was amazing! I noticed that the salates that people ordered me could look amazing next time."

"We were passing through and found this gem. The food was delicious! We had lobster ravioli and meatballs; both were excellent! The house vinaigrette was so good! "I think I like this place more for the service, and local friendly atmosphere more so than the actual food. The food is not bad either but I wouldnt say it's great, the best thing we had do far was the veggie sandwich. I would definitely try it again"

"This was one of the best places we ate on our trip to NOLA. It's not like we tried every restaurant in the city. But shoot... the shrimps with boom boom sauce were more plentiful and more skilled than shrimps I had in remarkably more expensive places. Really a treasure. I'm glad we found it. I can't wait to go back."
