We found the look of the Alfonso XIII hotel irresistible when we walked past, so we decided to go in for a drink. A very helpful waiter showed us all the bars, and we settled on the Americano. My husband took me here. Also for him it was the first time to visit this gorgeous hotel. So beautiful and richly decorated. The upscale service on the terrace was nice but extremely slow, hence two stars less. It was not so busy. We had to wait for our drinks, waited a out 40 minutes for our delicatessen platter and after that waited longer than 50 minutes for our salads. They robbed us from our time.
