Was Stevens Stubs Mick at Walrus & the Carpenter a mag?
Probably in the top 3 meals I've had in my 60 years. Everything was extremely well done. You are going to pay for the high quality food and the outstanding service, but you will get value for the money. View all feedback.

What Simon Tan dislikes about Walrus & the Carpenter:
Tried the steak tartare, calamari, and the crudo but was not really that impressed. Individual oysters are nice, though. Everything is extremely pricey for the quantity/quality. View all feedback.

Amazing, fresh seafood (particularly oysters . It can get a bit crowded, especially if you’re sitting solo at the counter (although, great view of the kitchen!

There is a reason this place was voted one of the best. Staff was so friendly and welcoming. The vibe was like you entered into an 1800s kitchen and the food did not disappoint!

Beautiful fresh oysters! All seafood was super fresh and delicious. Steak tartar was well dressed but some chopped pieces were too big and had an unpleasant chew of raw meat to it.

Stopped in for a quick drink and one or two plates. The barrel aged negroni was very good, I like mine a little more bitter personally but it was complex and delicious. The fried oysters were great, the breading was fresh and not overpowering. The halibut ceviche was also fantastic. The garlic purée was potent in the best way. It is quite pricey. Staff were attentive and helpful. Is it worth it? You’ll have to decode yourself.
