The seating arrangement caused some frustration, especially for families with young children. Despite these drawbacks, the bar is a nice place to relax after work, although it can get crowded. Overall, the service received mixed reviews, with some finding it extremely slow and others praising it for being fantastic. The view of Vancouver from the restaurant is beautiful, and the food is well-liked, with dishes like the wedge salad and prawn cocktail earning high marks. The attentive and professional service added to the overall positive dining experience for many customers. The bar staff was knowledgeable and accommodating, making dining at the bar a pleasant experience. Despite mixed reviews, the restaurant seems to be a popular choice for a special occasion or a casual evening out in Seattle.
Worst fish and chips I have ever had. Fish appeared to be out of a box. You would expect more in Seattle.
This is a hotel restaurant lounge. Those generally don 't have to be good as they have a captive audience. But this is actually a pretty nice place and the food was very good. My only issues were related to service. Not that it was bad (it wasn 't). But there were some minor stumbles. When I showed up for my reservation, there was no host/hostess to be seen. I waited several minutes before a passing waitress told me to just grab a table if I didn 't want to keep waiting. Then, my server kept sneaking up on me , standing behind me to ask questions vs. approaching from the side where I could see her. And she had no idea what the catch of the day may be. But she was quick and attentive. And the food was very good. Turns out the catch of the day was halibut, it was delicious, and the sides were very good. Overall, the food was a little pricy but not obscene. The food was delicious and beautifully prepared. I wouldn 't go out of my way to eat here again, but I would gladly take the elevator to the lobby and eat here instead of heading out to grab a taxi.
The food was good, but the service was slow, not because the server was really bad, but just not enough servers to handle the numbers. Additionally, the manner of handling seating was a bit frustrating. Anyone under 21 had to be seated below, which I understand, but it put all the screaming kids in one little spot and was very loud and clearly felt like we were an annoyance, even with teenagers. It would have been much more pleasant to be seated by a server in a more courteous way.
Being by myself I opt tp sit at bars when available rather than a table. This proved to be a good choice as the Bar Staff were very knowledgeable and accommodating. Menus had something for everyone and beverage choices were much better than expected. Ate there 2 nights out of 3 and would go back on my next trip to Seattle.
