"This is a great little cafe tucked away on Braddock Rd in downtown Winchester. The owner/chef is super nice, and they have the best food. My favorites are the french onion soup, and chocolate mousse. But I've never anything bad there."

"Today I had the pleasure of eating lunch at La Nicoise Cafe. Although I am a Winchester resident and the restaurant has been open for 5 years, this was my first time dining there. I guess I 'm one of the many who forget there is more to Downtown Winchester than the walking mall. La Nicoise Cafe is just a few minutes stroll from the center of the walking mall and across the street from the Fire House. It was an absolutely fabulous meal, Frederic is quite charming and is an excellent Chef. We were told everything is prepared in house . The waitress was very friendly and offered excellent service. I found so many items on the menu I would have liked to try that it was hard to pick.. My friend and I decided to order several differnt things to share so we could taste a variety of Chef ' Frederic 's culinary talents. We were delighted with everything we tried from the Classic French Onion Soup to the Pate Campagne, on to the Croque Monsieur served with a deliciously fresh mixed salad with the house dressing and lastly 2 scrumptuous desserts of Warm Blackberries Napolean and Warm Rum Bread Pudding (we just couldn 't decide and had to get both). It was truly a pleasant surprise dining in this little French Cafe. I look forward to tasting more of Chef Frederic 's cooking. Take the walk (or drive) to La Nicoise Cafe, I think you will likely return as I plan to do...."

"Man this place is awesome. You remember that cool bar from back in the day? The one that had cheap drinks and great food? This is that bar. Come here and have a few drinks and a burger or whatever. It’s awesome and stop looking for another place."

"My husband an I got the fried artichoke hearts (the sauce that comes with it is not vegan but marked accordingly on the menu). Our waiter offered us a vegan sauce that was made with tahini and it was AMAZING! My husband got the general Tsos tofu and I got a tofu sweet potato curry. It may have been the best curry I’ve had in Norfolk! The general Tsos tofu was wonderfully crunchy with delicious sauce!! Finally, our waiter was precious! Kind, welcoming, helpful! Would highly recommend and WILL be returning soon!"

"Food was pretty good. The french toast was pretty tough on the edges but soft on the inside. I also loved the French onion soup, it was perfect! They strangely do not have a non-alcoholic drink menu, so the waiter had to actually tell me the options. Luckily they had a Shirley Temple! The omelette was pretty good but could’ve used some more salt. My dog and I both loved the side salad! My boyfriend also loved the croque madame. Overall it was pretty good but not life-changing. Be warned, it is pretty expensive."

"Went to eat some brunch here. Waited outside for it to open. Watched a couple employees go inside and waited more. Finally after 10 minutes past open time the restaurant was not open. They saw me outside waiting. I decided there was little motivation to open on time so I guessed the service and food would be under motivated as well so I left."
