"Cozy and family run. Shared the vegetarian pho and it was quite delicious and plenty for 2 people to share unless you've got some serious hunger. But we found it to be more than enough and we're pleased with the cozy, quaint atmosphere. Zel, theproprietor, was warm and welcoming and after our meal, he offered a shot of Croatian liquor which we enjoyed and toasted to.Thanks again for the great time. See you soon. Keep up the good work."

"We had reservations for 10 people at 6:00. People ahead of us with no reservations went in. We finally got a drink at 7:00 sitting very cozy at a table for 6. Unacceptable. The food was okay and beer was good but greed to fill the place was apparent. Why make a reservation if you have no intentions on looking after your customers? Ten people will obviously spent lots. No concessions were made to appease the lengthy delay. Greedy. Sorry, you won't see me back"

"Definitely a gem up north! We stumbled upon this place which didn't look like much in from the front.. but when we entered we were amazed by the decor! We sat down and the server came up right away and gave us a menu, and she was very friendly about explaining what the food is about. My husband and I ordered a Balkan Mixed Plate with a side of salad that was perfect for two.. We also ordered a couple of Balkan margaritas. All I'm going to say is that this place is truly amazing. : and the food tasted fantasitc!"

"I really enjoy Konoba. During the week it is not busy which is a welcome change from all the noisy crowded restaurants in Huntington Village. The food is very good. Some dishes are outstanding. We love the fried artichoke app, the pizza is great. The issue is that when we were there on a Thursday night, the waitress was also the bartender. She was terrific and did her best but really??? The owner should be ashamed of himself. She didn't complain and was trying hard but to ask one person to cover an entire restaurant plus make the drinks is not right. Its a good thing the place wasn't busy on the night we went. I realize restaurants have hiring issues but the owner showed up half way through the evening. He should have been there the entire time and tended his bar in my opinion."

"They are under new ownership so they no longer have the separate Croatian menu, but they have some of the dishes included on the menu. The BBQ Cevapi had served a bunch of seasoned table cababs on some hearty Focaccia bread with a tomato sauce on the side and a salad. For a meal it is a little simple, but completely delicious and filling especially if you are a fan of Focaccia bread The pizza, simply set, is amazing. Thin, crispy and full of fresh tomato sauce and mozzarella. The 12 inch was enough to divide between 2 people. I definitely come back to try the sushi page of the menu."

"Simply good food. Enjoyed tasty, fresh, homemade food at Balkan Cafe. It was a nice change from the usual fare. Tried the Cevapi and homemade Snow White cake and loved them both. The owners wife makes the desserts which are unique and delicious. <br/>The restaurant is clean, simple and friendly. Will be returning!"
