"All dishes were creative. Not a few of them using Japanese cuisine idea, ingredients or food products. I was happy with all dishes we ordered but sometimes felt too salty. Also, their wine collection was good."

"With a restaurant name like Animal, there is almost a feeling of arrogance about what you think to do well – what is all non-Seafood or vegetables related. The human being is instinctively carnivorous so that animal is the ideal place to eat when you want to return to your roots. Many people have spoken about this restaurant, since the 1st day, about their unique ability to beef, pork and other farm animals. After looking at my list of restaurants to try .. we decided tonight. After the fight against traffic, to this part of the city, I was happy to get a nice imported Japanese beer. I strongly suggested that my friend gets the Mexican coke – because he is much sweeter than the American counterparts. The menu was simply clear, and very directly to the point with its “meat” selection. The menu does not try to fool yourself with unusual words and descriptions. When I saw Loco-Moco on the menu, I was immediately withdrawn from my Maui experience last year, during my friend's wedding weekend. Although the Loco moco I had at this famous local hangout, was overwhelmingly large and intimidating with its enormous size – it scared me from future Loco moss. I haven't ordered it since. (I apologize for my bad English – I was not sure how to explain it) But then I see Animals take, on this famous Hawaiian dish, with foie gras. After coupling over my other options, the foie grass in the Loco Moco just stood out. After a recommendation from our server – I knew I had to order it – it was almost fate. Maybe Loco Moco deserved another chance to redeem himself. As some of you may know, the way with which foie grass is acquired is quite inhuman. I was aware of the unethical treatment of our feathered palaces, by my friend who deliberately decides to limit their foie-grass consumption at once a year. But on this record – there were two very large pieces of Foie-Gras. Personally, I do not really order foie gras and also have no great desire on it. But tonight the foie gras stood out. With every bite of the Loco moco – with foie grass, burger, spam and egg, this combination made me understand this geese liver appeal. Each of these pieces remains unspectacular, but together as one, like a fine ensemble, it plays beautifully. And did I tell you about the pig bell? And I almost had to mistake my server because I didn't even touch it while we ordered it. Later, he mentioned that critics and others were blown over the pig bell. He tried to push other appetizers. But the pig bell with Kimchi, this simple combination, just cried on me, more than the Loko moco. When it came, I knew I would compare it with the Japanese Izakaya style pig belly. This dish excelled and surpassed with its crispy fat. The fat on the pig bell also melts in your mouth with eating bite and still remained crispy. I think: “This is the best pig bell I have ever tried, period.” We also had the Speck chocolate crunch bar with Anglaise. I have no idea what the Anglaise is. But the combination of bacon with chocolate brought a new taste in chocolate that I have never tasted. I think I have to make another trip to Animal. I like this place."

"Wow, what a cool place. We were greeted by a sweet woman who said, are you here to see the Kittens? As we looked at each other, both of us being total cat people, looked back at her and said, yes ; then off we followed her to the kitten room where 2 freshly spayed, fired up siblings, one frightened cat in a cage and one middle of the road in a small woven cubicle were in one room and we were in heaven. The gift shop has tons of great apparel and gift ideas. Cards designed by some of their animals. Nice staff who were also very helpful and knowledgeable. We took a drive around the property to see the other services they offer, horses, dogs, bunnies....what a great organization. So happy to have visited. It makes me want to quit my job and move there to just be there and participate in a more hands on way. They really do a great service to the animals"

"I live in Fullerton and my friend lives in Ontario. We decided to go on a cozy ride and landed in Lytle Creek, as both of us have not been there since the 80s. We were both thirsty for a cocktail and passed through Animal Crackers. From the outside it looked like the typical street bar / restaurant, we thought “complete!”. We were not so surprised at the decor, but it was clean and felt inviting. We sat at the bar and were greeted by Sheri, who was friendly enough and helped us feel welcome. We ordered a mozzarella sticks, she ordered a rum and coke, and I had a Coors. Fernando came out and opened the kitchen and made us fresh mozzarella sticks! You were great! Sheri made a very pleasant cocktail for my friend and my beer was cold. We decided to go back and smoke and discovered that they have to do some work on the farm, but Fernando (then goodness that he was there) brought a table, a candle in a lamp, flowers in a vase and a really beautiful table. James the owner who was entertaining in the terrace. I've built shops all the time and FERNANDO is your blood circulation in the stable, your ass in the hole, your place was nice, but Fernando made us want back! If one of you are in the mood for an experience of rustic nature, I recommend Animal Crackers to ask for Fernando, He will make your visit a pleasant experience."
