"Das gibt es noch, ein originelles Restaurant/Hotel im Stil der Jahrhundertwende, aufwendig und mit viel Liebe renoviert, äusserst freundliches und aufmerksames Personal. Als Geschenk für einen runden Geburtstag durften wir zwei Tage und Nächte in alpiner Umgebung verbringen und uns verwöhnen lassen. Es geht auch ohne Wellness, TV, etc. Sehr netter Empfang, originelles Zimmer, kreative Küche. W-Lan à discretion. Als Halbpension gibt's hier nicht 08/15-Küche sondern echte Leckereien, auf Wunsch auch vegetarisch. So nennt sich das Abendessen "Gaumentanz ", und das nicht ohne Grund. Nach dem "Gruss aus der Küche" folgte die geräucherte Entenbrust mit Radieschen-Gurkensalat, dann die Karottensuppe mit Orange, gefolgt vom Bio-Gitzi (junge Ziege) mit Kartoffel und Stangensellerie, Zitronentorte mit Mandeleis, als Beispiel. Auch das Früchstück hat uns sehr geschmeckt, diverse Brote, Käsesorten, Konfitüren, Müslies, Yoghurts, etc. vom Buffet mit Tee oder Kaffee nach Wahl. Der Eigentümer und Mitarbeitenden beraten gerne, ob es um die Wahl des Weines, einer Wanderroute oder einer Verkehrsverbindung geht, etc. Frische Äpfel und Mineralwasser waren immer zur Hand. Im Zimmer war eine CD mit toller Musik zum Träumen eingelegt, Herz was willst Du mehr? Es fiel uns schwer Abschied zu nehmen und wir freuen uns an diesen Ort wieder zurückzukommen. Doch TV gab's auch, bei einem "wichtigen Anlass", wie etwa ein Spiel der Fussball Europameisterschaft."

"It was a warm summer day and we found a table on the terrasse in the hotel garden. Local Swiss specialties tend to be a bit heavy but this restaurant is making these a bit modern and lighter. I had Kartoffelpizockel with spinach, which was not heavy and I much enjoyed it. Service personnel seemed to have been inexperienced but kind and helpful."

"Unfortunately, this restaurant has changed hands at the end of the village! My husband and I were willing to give this new company a way we were in the past at Hotel Meisser. First, we were disturbed by two girls running around our table while we eat. Since none of the employees were willing to stop them, I had to do the job myself. Then when I asked to pay, I was not given an invoice to check before my card entered the machine. I had to insist on getting one. After all, when returning from the toilets the head waiter came right in front of me without apology. Besides, I would not recommend the salads because they are too expensive and come without sauce. The selection of foods is limited and not cheap. Customers who pay this kind of money should be allowed to eat in peace, this is the responsibility of the restaurant. Not the standard of Swiss historic hotels!"

"Im Piz Buin stimmt so einiges: Empfang und Bedienung sind zufrieden locker und in jeder Beziehung zuvorkommend. Dass die lokalen Spezialitäten vorzüglich sind, erstaunt in dieser Ambiance nicht. Wir kommen gerne wieder hierher."

"We stayed in the hotel for 3 days in July 2010. The room had a small balcony that looked down the street of this most attractive wee village. We were pleasantly surprised by the cooking, which had a different menu every day. Being wheat-intolerant, I had to eat a la carte but it was not too pricey, as it can be in some places. Fresh-tasting food, well cooked and presented. Friendly staff."
