"The food was tast y and the portions were small but not the price. So if you are looking for nice atsty food give them a go but be prepared to pay for both food and drinks. Service was OK and the place on the 2 occasions we went there was empty. Guess that says it all."

"My girlfriends & I meet here for a long lazy lunch whenever we can nice atmosphere great friendly staff, can get busy & if in a large group you have to wait but this doesn't really bother us as we are there for the afternoon. Beautiful homemade desserts/cheesecakes really great coffee and very reasonably priced"

"The family ate in the hotel bistro on Saturday night and enjoyed every mouthful. While they were not overly advenurous (schnitty and chicken dish), they cleared their plates and spoke at length how enjoyable it was. However it was the salad and veg bar that won the highest praise. All the normal veg favourites enjoyed at home served to perfection. Prices were not overly cheap, but normal for hotels these days. Plenty of seating area and there seemed also to be a number of groups enjoying special occasions. Well worth a visit."

"We were staying in the Westlands motel overnight, so tried the food here, the service was fantastic, providing cutlery for us to use for our meals. The kids meals were great with heaps of chips. We ended up with too many chips (but that's not a bad thing). The kids had chicken nuggets and chips and the included fruit box. For the adults we had a steak sandwich with the lot and the 1/2 chicken meal (too much food - we should have just shared the chicken meal). All the food was very tasty. Have no hesitation in recommending the Bottle & Bird. The place was busy with what seemed to be many locals also getting their takeaway (always a good sign)."

"Had your delicious famous burger for lunch, it was great! Later on I had a hot chocolate made by one of the front bar ladies. This was probably one of the best hot chocolates I've had in my life! Thanks!"

"Dining out with family, the Eyre Hotel was able to adequately supply all the varieties of meals to the guests in attendance to an expected standard. The only limitation experienced was the variety of side dishes which doesn't accommodate with some dietary requirements. As...a sufferer of severe acid reflux, a simple salad was not an option (and yes I could have asked but if the other attendees also requested special service the night would not have gone as smoothly as it did)."
