"1st time eating in a few years.. Food wash very nice. Service was excellent bistro bar manager is a natural u dident feel like he was doing it because it was his job.. The way he spoke to you made u feel specia like u were the only one he needed to worry about. but he treat everyone like this such a special quality to have. He made everyone welcome it was so nice. The food I couldent fault was Sunday lunch. Loved the chefs counter. Atmosphere was lovely people relaxing.. We can't wait to visit again will be recommended to all family and friends."

"Another delicious meal at Hinnies. Tasty and well-presented and very filling. Very helpful staff. We initially were seated next to a loud group booking but our waiter managed to get us a table in a quieter part of the room. Definitely recommended for any occasion."

"Visited twice this week, once in the evening and once at lunchtime. Food excellent quality and love the bread and spreads that come when you have ordered. Service efficient and friendly, surroundings quietly understated. Will certainly call again when in Whitley Bay area. Can recommend the happy hour menu (ample for lunch) and also the evening menu for two people."

"We have had the most amazing afternoon at the Delaval Arms this afternoon. We arrived for Sunday Lunch six adults and two children we were seated upstairs in a lovely room with panoramic views of the coast, which was very spacious and beautifully furnished with a small bar an ideal room for a party or wedding reception, if your numbers are under fifty I think we can think of a few up and coming occasions where we would seriously hiring this space. The lunch was beautifully presented by a very attentive member of staff Izzy.. not sure if I have spelt that right, apologies if I haven’t and it was so very delicious, just like a Sunday dinner should be. The plates were well stacked , the meat was very, very tender and the vegetables were perfect, gravy moreish extra gravy boats provided for a small cost should you want more gravy Yorkshire puddings, crackling, every part of the Lunch was nomnomnom…. ! Christian apologies if the spelling of you name is wrong the host was super attentive and the whole afternoon just went with a swing …seamless hosting. Xx"

"We love this place. It's the second time we've stayed and it's just so chilled. Pretty bell tents which are clean and warm with the heating and we loved toasting marshmallows under the stars with the fire pit that's included. Staff are super friendly they go out of their way to make sure you're happy. The bar is lovely, the breakfasts are first class and the Sunday lunch...you'll have seen other reviews and they speak for themselves...worth travelling quite some way for!"
