"The restaurant is housed in a beautiful building and is a really nice place to dinen . the personal was very friendly and attentive, but the two vegan options that we ordered only 2 on the menu were terrible. my partner hates to complain and is a human vacuum cleaner normally, but even he could not finish this meal. he said his risotto tasted as if someone had used a whole bottle of jiffy lemon. my was like ratatouille, but the really bad ratatouille they get in doses. it was not cheap and certainly not a great experience. whitby is in the usually not good for vegan thanks to quality we had an airbnb apartment so that I could cook. not ideal as I was on vacation and did not want to cook, but the options were quite dirty."

"We waited over an hour for starters. 30 minutes after that, plates had not been cleared and no mains in sight so we left (along with several other tables from upstairs). Starters were average. Chicken in the wedges. Peas in the salad. Not food worthy of those prices."

"We called here yesterday afternoon, great food, great friendly staff, good portions. two of us had house specialties, absolutely gorgeous fish, light scattering, loads of beautiful rugged house made chips, big mushy also inherit. my friend had fish, said the fish was the best. the shattered sausage also has a great thumb up like the curry sauce. we had not realized that they closed early on Sunday until we were gone, at least we hastened through ours, which we all enjoyed. we had fantastic service and eating and would definitely recommend terrys. many thanks for a wonderful meal"
