"Fabulous views and friendly service. Our food (nachos and burger) were both ample portions and the cake was a huge slice so we shared. If you’ve done the steps but don’t fancy paying £12 for the Abbey itself then have a wander round here and enjoy the site For free!"

"Ate from here twice during our recent Whitby stay. If you order a 'Large ' fish, make sure you 're hungry, it 's more like they 've caught Moby Dick and thrown it in the fryer! Really well cooked and a nice thick piece of fish. The chips were good, not too thick but a little on the soft side for my liking (everyone else like them though so maybe that 's just me). The scampi was also good, not soggy like I 've had before. My favourite was the black pudding, well worth it!"

"Restaurant only : good food sparse standard of table service, it seemed as if the kitchen was overloaded as it took quite some time between starters and mains. Also, five minutes for sides to come out after the mains. Forgot about after mains, table uncleared and offering dessert an afterthought."

"Good food from an interesting menu and good service but the Brasserie is rather soulless and prices are pretty steep. It may be the Covid-19 restrictions but it just didn't have any ambience."

"A beautiful and quiet art room and café where you feel comfortable in the knowledge of veganism is not treated with contempt. After a very long walk we had served a well-earned Americano with one side hot soy milk in a quirky jug. A short look at the menu confirmed decent vegan options such as soup including sweet potatoes, coconut, ginger and chili, a few sandwiches and a ciabatta. The peanut and apple sandwich was a fascinating combination. I give him today a strong 3 based on a favorable experience. Very sharp to return in the near future for food."

"Went to whitby for a 3 day trip stayed just outside of town and saw recommendations for singing kettle and decided to give them a try breakfast was good. Really good value for money staff were friendly and dog friendly extras aren't on the menu but you can ask for extra bacon, sausage etc. Black pudding with lovely too and even though you only get 1 sausage with the breakfast it was great went back the next day for breakfast again. Ask for an extra sausage it's worth it haha"
