"They have gluten-free fondue and individually wrapped, heated GF Baguette. I had a hard time finding fondue in virgin that has no beer or flour and this place has 3 different GF fondue options! Your menu is not marked, but I went in a conversation with the server and it was very knowledgeable, even about cross-contamination."

"I’m conflicted writing this review. The food was exceptionally delicious but I felt neglected by my waitress. I had the carrot ginger soup with bread, it was spectacular. My chicken Caesar salad was possibly the best I’ve ever had and I have had a lot. And a glass of water as I had been hiking most of the day. The food came in an appropriate amount of time but then a disconnect. Having drunk my water quickly, I asked for a refill. The waitress said she would bring some. 15 minutes later I flagged down another waiter who got me a carafe in 30 seconds. I took my time eating then realized that I had to make a train shortly and asked for my bill from the waitress. Next I see her clearing tables for no waiting customers and she started taking an order from a family who had only been seat for a few minutes. But clearly she had no thought about my request. She seemed like a pleasant enough person but had difficulty focusing. All the other staff seemed efficient, pleasant and focused and as I said, the food was excellent."

"We stayed two nights at the hotel and ate in restaurant both nights. If you are sat in the conservatory part of the dining room the views are to die for and the staff were very helpful and friendly. Unfortunately the food was not quite so good. The menu was exactly the same both nights and the dessert menu was one of those printed picture ice cream sundae menus but they had stuck a piece of paper inside with two homemade additions the nut tart being one and that was good. As to the rest of the menu my husband and I shared a mixed salad to start which was large but not overly interesting, tinned red beans, tinned corn and lots of lettuce. For main course I chose the healthy option of chicken skewers. This came according to the menu with herb butter, well mine was a very salty frozen solid lump which tasted nasty and artificial. It came accompanied by the same large salad. Mashing a little softened butter with some herbs and maybe a little garlic would have improved this dish so much, not a big deal to make either. The second night I had racketeering and this came as a flat plate of melted cheese with a few boiled potatoes on top. Not very exciting. We have eaten in the Alps before and had dishes like Tartiflette which is so much more interesting. My husband tried the Rossi and said it was ok but rather oily. I feel that even by Swiss prices this was not really good value for money as the bill was not cheap. It was only saved by the view and friendly waitresses. Shame such a beautiful venue does not quite measure up."

"Thanks to our paragliding adventure we planned lunch here after our visit to Trummelbach Falls. The free beverage coupon was a bonus since the food was definitely worth the trip. Mid-week crowd was good, lots of folks on laptops, but we easily found a table for four. The sandwiches are huge, homemade meat and veggie pies are unique and filling and the sweet potato soup was scrumptious. Must save room for dessert!"

"C'est bien connu, dans les montagnes suisses, on mange tôt. Arrivé "tard" à Mürren, c'est à dire vers 21h00, avec une faim de loup, j'ai été ravi de me sustenter vers 21h30 à l'Eiger Guesthouse Restaurant. Endroit vivant, les hôtes de l'hôtel vont et viennent, certains s'attablent pour un verre, d'autres pour un menu, le personnel est convivial, sympathique, et efficace. L'atmosphère est conviviale, et les plats goûtus (pizzas de bonne facture, pâtes au lard savoureuses, viande citronnée généreuse). Mais ce qui m'a épaté (et fait chavirer mon coeur) c'est la fantastique assiette de fromage d'une générosité et d'une subtilité inoubliable. Accompagnée de miel et de noix, j'en rêve encore la nuit. Avec un pain idéal. Tout est bon dans ce restaurant que je connais depuis des années, mais ne passez pas à côté des fromages. Et c'est un intolérant aux produits laitiers (industriels) qui vous parle. Leur vieille prune est également un délice. A faire au moins une fois lors de votre séjour dans ce village merveilleux."

"We discovered this restaurant in May when many restaurants in Wengen are closed. I got the carbonara with gluten free pasta and a mixed salad and was pleased with both. There was nothing online or on the menu about having GF options, but the staff was very helpful and knowledgeable about my options. They did not have GF pizza or bread available, so the selection was somewhat limited. Knowing that GF pasta was available would have made choosing this restaurant much easier. My family did not need GF, and they all enjoyed their dinners a lot."

"We stayed in Jungfrau suite which is located on the highest floor. From the balcony we had a bird's eye view of Wengen village and the picturesque views of the mountains Eiger, Jungfrau and Minch. The cable car station to Mannlichen is visible from the suite and it was fun watching the car going up and coming down. Over the period which we stayed there was an event of ascent and descent of the cows from 6.30 to 9.30 am and we could hear the cow bells ringing at times. The hotel staff were very friendly and the whole ambience made us feel very much at home. There is a well equipped kitchenette in the suite which I like very much. The dining area is spacious and I sat at the table eating and drinking while admiring the spectacular views. A big TV was available and every day we watched recorded segments and live streaming of the various sites on the mountains. Would highly recommend to stay in Jungfrau suite if price is not a concern."

"This is a wonderful place to have lunch or just a beer after a hike. The terrace is very nice and one has an amazing view. It's particularly attractive for families as there is an amazing playground right next to the terrace. We were able to relax while our very active boys played for hours. A dream!!The only negative is the staff. We were served promptly etc but the staff is just not friendly or welcoming in any way. This is really too bad as one would expect folks to be happy while working in such a beautiful place. Also, it would have been lovely to have some music playing in the background:)"
