"That was a beautiful, picturesque restaurant on the street in grindelwald. we stumbled about it and were glad we did it. we heard cock bells on the fields behind, while we were eating French on a nearby hill. the food was excellent and although. they don't speak English. we came by and they were beautiful. many parking spaces on the road"

"Stopped off here for a drink and snack after visiting the Trummelbach Falls. Very reasonably priced and in excellent location for car park, and bus stops. The restaurant itself is more of a self service cafe than a full on restaurant, but cakes and snack all looked good, and the carrot cake was fresh and gorgeous"

"The tables are covered with flies and dirty dishes are all around. The “menu” has a $8 hot dog and $19 spaghetti and burgers. The waiter spent all the time, we waited for service, flirt with two young ladies, don't waste your time."

"Isenfluh und das Hotel-Restaurant Waldrand mit ihren neuen Geranten Karin und Markus und deren Team sind für alle Naturliebende und die Ruhe Suchende ein absolutes Muss.Schon allein die Anreise ab dem Lauterbrunnental ist ein Ausflug zum Waldrand wert.Die Hotelzimmer sind zwar "vintage", aber sehr sauber und geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Das Essen gut bürgerlich und ausgezeichnet zubereitet.Wir haben die beiden Tage sehr genossen und danken dem Wirtepaar."

"So, let's start with the food. The sandwiches were great. Also, the pastries and chocolates very good. But, I'm guessing when you are the only bakery in town, your staff don't have to worry about customer service. I was afraid to come in a 2nd...time, because we were treated so rudely the first time. And I live in New York. I'm used to bad customer service. But alas, the 2nd and 3rd time (because, hey, this is the only bakery in town) the service was once again terrible. It's like she couldn't believe she had to serve you. As a long-time Trip Advisor reviewer, this is the first time I have been critical about a business. I take this role seriously."

"We had the surprise dinner and have to say the quality of the food alone is worth the five stars.It was truly an added bonus that when the bill arrived we had to very carefully check that all items were included as we were sure they had left something off.My only criticism would be that there was too much food served. We had asked for the three course meal, yet four savory courses were served and we had to stop before we even got to desert. This and also that there are no matching wine selection - this makes choosing wine difficult if you do not know what dish you will be eating (hence "surprise"). But these are small issues negated by the quality of food and price.We will definitely visit again."

"Great outdoor deck. We had the steak on the hot stone. It was delicious and came with 3 sauces. Unique and perfectly done. My son didn't enjoy his burger but I think that was because it was swiss cheese. Go figure."
