"Perhaps it was just poor luck, but our visit was anything other than a great experience. Both of us ordered the fish, each with a different sauce. When we asked for a wine recommendation, the waitress seemed clueless, and recommended the housewine. We both ordered...a 0.25l of the same wine. It was served in a glass filled to the top. We actually thought it was a joke. When we asked for different glasses, the waitress yelled across the room, that 'those people want different wineglasses '. Certainly did not make us feel very welcome. The food was served with basically no garnish, but the portion sizes were huge. The fish, despite being two different kinds, pretty much was covered in sauce and it all tasted a bit bland and the same. I will not start on the courgettes that were boilt to death and beyond. At some point, other guests came and wanted to sit at a table that had not been prepared yet. The waitress rolled her eyes at the request... This apparently is supposed to be a good restaurant, but unfortunately we had a very unpleasant experience, and other not having left hungry, this was not a positive experience."

"We ate here with kids and ordered dishes with two types of fish and jaegersteak. We waited only around minutes for the meal to be served. The service by a young lady was nice. No menu in English, but we translated some words in...the menu by google. The meal can be rated out of The value for money is poor since we had much better meal for the money, but arguably the great location had to be paid by premium prices"

"We spent the night in this fabulous little boutique hotel and decided to eat dinner there as well. We were delighted in every way! We had two different versions of the Feche (fish) which came fresh from the Bodensee that morning. It was tender and cooked to perfection. The salad was ample and the house dressing was perfectly balanced. The dessert was a glass flute filled with fresh berries and topped with ice cream. The wine was excellent.Not only was the dinner divine, the restaurant was cozy and warm on a cold night. There are only six tables, wrapped around a prominent "Kachelofen", several of which are used to accommodate two parties. It made for a very authentic experience and we met some quite nice people. This is a very special place that we will definitely visit the next time we come to Meersburg!"
