"Excellent experience. Beautiful food. Exceptional wine. Come back when I can afford it. Worth the money, but must be a very special occasion. Best pasta I had. At first I was disappointed that the prawn feticinni was not a white sauce, but the tomatoes were so tender and perfectly seasoned that I could not regret the choice. Good evening. The perfect evening would have been if my wife could accompany me. (as long as they were not allowed to see the prices)."

"This was one of the best meals I have ever had in Toronto! What a Gem! The patio was a delightful little oasis off the street! Our service experience was top notch right off the start! "A group of friends and I went there for dinner on Friday night and we're all incredibly well-travelled. I can also tell you that I seldom hand out five-star reviews. This is truly a hole in a wall, in a remnant of an old house,...backed by a giant concrete parkade and just off Yonge and Bloor. How they've stayed in business all these years, I don't know, but am very glad they are. The service was attentive and personal, the seafood linguine was perfection and the tiny setting for just a few tables is nicely intimate. But let me tell you about the linguine: firstly, the pasta itself was soft and fully supple with just a hint of al dente to it. The shrimp and and whitefish were similarly in the ideal zone between cooked and not. The flavour, oh, the flavour – it transported me somewhere sublime. Really, they put Il Fornello and Terroni to shame. I'd like to to explore their wine list more however, as I know that there are better wines from Italy than what we had, which was nice but not spectacular (chosen by friends). If you're looking for the ideal location to win somebody's heart or just to have Italian food as it was meant to be enjoyed, this is the place. Make reservations because, as mentioned, it's a tiny place and food this good has a following."

"Ok, Giovanni's is so underrated. It's a must try, and if you have tried it you must go back. They space is so cute and Italian, you can see the pizza being made. They had a live DJ all night. The food was so good and the drinks. Whoever says there's something wrong with this place has absolutely no idea what they're talking about and is just miserable. Our waiter was even fantastic. This is the place to be on college st."

"Food was quite tasty. Dining space was comfortable.? Service needs improvement. asked for NO MEAT and the pasta came with meat. inconsistent service. 3 4 staff come to you separately within the first 5 mins of being seated but none seem to talk to each other that we needed more time with the menu (for crying out loud, let patrons catch up a little first! . When we were ready to order, they seemed to ignore us and we really have to track them down to place an order (despite the staff walking by the table multiple times and we still had menu on the table .Very few vegetarian options for main course"

"Terrible place and terrible staff! We booked a birthday dinner for 8. When we showed up we found out that we had mistakenly booked a table outside. The patio was freezing, the heater was ineffective. When we wanted to leave after 1 drink (because we were cold), we were told that we needed to pay $35/person. The inside was full but the patio was empty yet they claimed that we were preventing others from booking. Very short sighted management wanting to make $35/each instead of having us revisit and spend hundreds of dollars."
