"A group of friends and I went there for dinner on Friday night and we're all incredibly well-travelled. I can also tell you that I seldom hand out five-star reviews. This is truly a hole in a wall, in a remnant of an old house,...backed by a giant concrete parkade and just off Yonge and Bloor. How they've stayed in business all these years, I don't know, but am very glad they are. The service was attentive and personal, the seafood linguine was perfection and the tiny setting for just a few tables is nicely intimate. But let me tell you about the linguine: firstly, the pasta itself was soft and fully supple with just a hint of al dente to it. The shrimp and and whitefish were similarly in the ideal zone between cooked and not. The flavour, oh, the flavour – it transported me somewhere sublime. Really, they put Il Fornello and Terroni to shame. I'd like to to explore their wine list more however, as I know that there are better wines from Italy than what we had, which was nice but not spectacular (chosen by friends). If you're looking for the ideal location to win somebody's heart or just to have Italian food as it was meant to be enjoyed, this is the place. Make reservations because, as mentioned, it's a tiny place and food this good has a following."

"This was one of the best meals I have ever had in Toronto! What a Gem! The patio was a delightful little oasis off the street! Our service experience was top notch right off the start! The flavours of all the food reached deep and full! The Peri Peri sauce on my chicken was extraordinary and the meat so moist! Everyone at our table was beyond thrilled with their meals! Go see the crew here for an Amazing dining experience!!"

"O restaurante e2 bem bonitinho. Comida italiana básica, sem grandes maravilhas. Pedi uma salada de pêra e folhas que estava divina, e uma massa bem leve e gostosa.Otimo custo!"

"We were out for dinner with friends and family. The place was not busy except for another table and a group on the next level down. The service was friendly but slow probably because the single person had to look after the group as well. A number of us ordered the veal Marsella and when it came to the table it was like eating shoe leather with a nice sauce. The vegetables were also cold even though there was a nice selection. A number of the others had pasta dishes which they said was good. I would give this place a pass!"

"I came here for an anniversary dinner date and was not disappointed at all. The owner is extremely kind, warm, welcoming and funny. He greats his customers and engages with them, it's very refreshing! The servers were also so amazing. So much knowledge on the specials, menus and wines. We ordered a meat and cheese plate which was very delicious. It came with Olives as well. Prior to receiving the appetizer we were given some bread and pickled beans. Both, so yummy! I'll attach photos of the pastas we ordered for mains, both were extremely delicious. So much flavour for pasta. It's also nice to mention our water glasses were never empty. As soon as we would finish one of the servers would come and refill it. Such a small thing to do but also so lovely. I'm so used to waiting over 30 minutes to get a waiters attention for a refill in my water from so many other restaurants. Overall, it was a wonderful experience. The amazing customer service and great food really allowed me and my partner to enjoy our anniversary date. I should mention they have an outdoor patio but it's small. You should try to book a reservation if you can to ensure you can get a spot. I'll be back to try some more things soon."
