"Walked pass and decided to give it a try. Took advantage of its lunch special and the new lobster roll combo. The Captain's signature sauce goes really well with the seafood. The breaded fried fish was bad however. Generous amount of lobster on the roll. All in all good food for the price and great fun. Service was so-so."

"I have never been anywhere where mussels are over cooked. We asked for them to switch the flavour of the mussels as the lemon pepper flavour had a chemical taste. They quickly brought us garlic flavoured mussels, same over cooked texture rubber and they tasted awful. The server explained they were extra rubbery because they had to wash the same mussels before soaking them in the new flavour. I was traumatized and they only deducted $14 off the meal that was the best they could do for such a dramatic fail. Will never go there again! Oh and they served our wine in water glasses super classy NOT!!"

"Small portion of everything from chicken to side, employees are not friendly at all, the side usually out of stock."

"So I was super excited to see the signs going up for this place because despite the fact it's the AYCE Japanese food mecca, there is not a single seafood only restaurant nearby. Not only are they open, but they're giving out free samples out front - alas, no seafood, but broccoli and I think some sliced sausages. It's 20% off until Sunday, so extra bonus! The decor is good, comfortable without feeling too cheap-y, lights are neat, benches nice. My only complaint is that the chairs are super uncomfortable - hard (need cushions) and a bit low, so a cushion would help raise the guest (and I'm pretty tall, so it'd likely be a bigger problem for someone shorter than me). Otherwise, one extra sign for the bathroom (you go through the door next to the sink, then through another door, across an interesting hallway, and then through another door (don't let your kids go to the washroom alone - unless you want to send out a search party). But it's worth it when you open the door and see the cool entrances for both the men's and women's washrooms as well as the super cool, lit up shell fish under glass (laid into the floor). Also the door to each bathroom is like a captain's steering wheel on a boat (you know what I mean)! The sink is a cool copper sink sitting on a wooden barrel. Very fun washroom!Anyway, back to the food. You are given plastic bibs and gloves and the food arrives steamed (with whichever seasonings you'd ordered on it) in a clear plastic bag. Think "Shellfish Viking"! We ordered the Combo which comes with half a pound of shrimp, half a pound of mussels and half a pound of clams. We also ordered the seafood rice, and fries. My favourite flavouring is the Kraken Sauce (which is their signature sauce). I don't like the lemon garlic as I feel I can taste citric acid, but my friend liked it just fine. The mixed seafood rice was okay, but super bland. Our (very helpful and bubbly) server had mentioned that putting the extra sauce from the bag onto it would help. It did, but I'd like to get it with some spices/less bland next time for sure. The fries (and I'm not a big french fry person) were really really good (I know). Didn't have enough room for more, but will definitely be back (probably tomorrow). It's fun to order using the Ipad, so it's easy to see what you're ordering and the total price beforehand, which is a bonus.Everyone who works here is friendly, helpful and efficient. I can happily feed my shellfish habit here and expect to do so a lot in the future!"

"Took the train out of downtown to get something different. This place had decent reviews on Google. Ended up being just OK. It appears to be Greek owned and managed, so expect their menu to lean that way. Not what we were looking for, but no biggie. My wife had a 6oz steak and I had a Cajun chicken sandwich. They were both satisfactory, but nothing to write home about. Even though we were the only couple inside (I guess they have a back patio) we had to grab the waitress several times for attention. She never offered more wine, nor did she offer water with our meal. Had to flag her 10 min after she cleared our plates to get the bill. I'll pass next time."

"We ran in here just before closing, have been wanting to stop for a while. They were cleaning up in preparation for closing but were still able to get us a couple dogs, and an order of their delicious mini donuts. We just had basic dogs, with some of their gourmet toppings (the corn relish was very very good), and really enjoyed them, and appreciated that they were very gracious and friendly, despite our late arrival. Their was some condiments out to add on yourself so I added some mayo to my dog and this may have been my big mistake. Everything tasted great, but I was violently ill within about 6 hours of eating this. It is the only thing my partner and I ate differently in 2 days so pretty sure this was what caused it. Having said this, we will be back to try it again as the dog were awesome, donuts really good also and some of the fancier dogs sounded really good too. And the 2 guys working were really nice. Just stay away from the mayo sitting on the counter!!"

"This felt like a family run restaurant which is quite rare nowadays and you could sense the commitment to their customers and to their business. I ordered various items for two people with the bill coming to about $120 before tip. The medium sized fresh lobster was $60. I timed my dinner with the availability I saw online but when I entered the restaurant, it was unclear why certain times blocked off as unavailable since there were empty tables. I believe other patrons did the same because 5 tables came in at the same time. This caused a backlog in the kitchen so some tables waited longer than normal for their food. I would definitely go back again to support a local family business."
