"We have been to the oak barrel 2years running. The welcome and beers are Fantastic. The French dishes are also fantastic especially the fondu. The only possible negative is that the burger bread buns could be better. Try the Mont Blanc green beer! Weird but nice! Nick"

"We stopped by while driving through the Loire valley as we were looking for an easy, cute place to grab a light lunch. This fit the bill perfectly. Nicely styled interior and really friendly staff who provided timely service. We had two super tasty salads (great quality/price ratio) but they also have bigger meals like burgers, risotto and a rotating plat du jour. Would definitely recommend!"

"Excellent kebab, very qualitative and clean!! I especially recommend the meat of Kefta house, spicy and full of fresh coriander, absolute madness Otherwise the boss is super friendly, just know how to take it in the sense of the hair; I see him as an artist in the kitchen, the kind of guy who puts all his devotion to the service of the BONNE VRAI food and this same despite the financial crisis that directly hits his turnover and serenity.... Ok, you have to articulate on the phone because he sometimes has difficulties to understand... (small language barrier) ; But it's nothing, really this kebab has more quality than defects, I'll eat the eyes closed!"

"Had walked down to the castle and the river, so just stopped for a beer or two at this pavement cafe set in the main square and near to our hotel. Lots of families eating early dinners, and others like us enjoying a beer or...two whilst watching the world go by. We were entertained by the laid-back but efficient approach adopted by the waiting staff,and also by the local character' who had obviously been drinking longer than we had and seemed to be arguing mostly with his glass of beer! An interesting way to spend an hour or so."

"This restaurant has enchanted us during a one-night stay in a guest room next to us during a bike ride on the loire. We were well served and welcomed by the couple of restaurateurs. the meal was excellent and a price defiant any competition. I really recommend it!! He doesn't disappoint."

"Recommended by the owner of camping Val de Flux next to Beaugency bridge bet he got a kickback but he was so friendly and helpful, and the campsite so good, that we took his advice. It was a good decision. A perfect Italian....Excellent service, great pizza, especially the four cheese, and no fuss. Thoroughly recommended."
