"Forget your politics: you've had a long day on the job, you're too tired to even take off your hi-vis, the boys said "just one"...There are few places left in Sydney like The Councourse. Perhaps none.From 4pm you will find it packed with tradies, builders and labourers. A few sad souls have a slap on the pokies out the back, but mostly regular blokes smashing some regular beers, ice-cold, before getting the train home, ready to pass out on the couch in front of the Simpsons. And it is blokes. I invited Big Sis and Little Lady once. I still haven't lived it down. They said they were so uncomfortable that "we're leaving". The only other women in the bar are serving drinks. Some even bring them to your table. Amazing service, but politically incorrect. Monthly the ladies get painted up. A good day for trackwork."

"Flew out of Sydney Friday evening 8th November and called at Imbibe for a quick drink prior to boarding our plane. Male staff member was behind the bar sitting down on his mobile phone. Looked at me and continued on his phone. After a minute he reluctantly put his phone down and took my order. Got my drinks but not a word uttered. A while later my partner went up to get a second glass and the same thing happened to him and to another customer just after. Mate if you don't want to be there then don't put your owners business in jeopardy. A disgrace to Australian hospitality which I had enjoyed for the past two weeks."

"I had a bad experience with the persons at the entrance of the bar. Normally as I know, we receive a stamp in your hand that should permit you to exit of the bar and rentry later.As others friends, we received this stamp in my hand, but when I exit at 11 pm and intend to come back 30 min later, I couldn't enter again. I didn't understand, because I showed my International Licence driver's, and he told me that it was so big to scaner it and I could not enter because that. I really didn't understand what was happening. Anyway take care of it. I don't know if it was because I'm a foreigner or not..Fui a esse bar numa terca feira, e como habitualmente, eles carimbam na sua mao, para que voce possa sair e entrar novamente. Porem comigo, quando sai as 23:00h mais ou menos para cumprimentar um amigo que estava indo embora, nao consegui mais entrar. Os segurancas disseram que eu nao poderia fazer isso, pois nao dava para escanear minha permissao internacional para dirigir, pois era muito grande, pelo menos foi isso que entendi. E que eu deveria ter feito isso antes das 21h, ( entrei umas 20:45h),Tentei argumentar que so queria me despedir de alguns amigos no bar, mas nao consegui nada, foram muito rudes e mal educados para comigo."
