"First time we visited here and we will definitely be back. Waited for about a minute before we were greeted with a happy smiley face and taken to our table. We had some cheeky little banter with the waiter and were not disappointed with his recommendation off the menu. A very friendly atmosphere coupled with delightful refreshments. What more can you expect?"

"If they are looking for an authentic Lebanese cuisine, this is the place to go. cozy family atmosphere, nice personal and above all amazing eating. I can't recommend this place enough, they have to try! every item on the menu has authentic middle eastern flavor, but if they are in a hurry and in tune with something light, then chicken shwarma is the best, reminds me of the one I had in the near east! eating in the restaurant allows them to have more joy as eating comes sizzling hot. must try!"

"At least the gin is good. However, the service was terrible. 1) We were the only guests so we took our place at one of the tables. They are shouting after us to come back as they won 't serve to the table. 2) First round, 4 gin cocktails £20, second round £26. Reason of price difference: we have more guests now Wow..."

"I went for Sunday dinner with a family friend, the beef, stated as cooked pink was beige, chewy and flavourless, the roast potatoes are from a bag of frozen ones, the veg was potentially just brought to temperature, the carrots were raw, no idea what cheese sauce they put on the equally rock hard cauliflower but it was stringy and unpleasant, the regaled rich gravy was a bland watery grave for the dire plate of horror to drown in, the Yorkshire puddings were the pre prepped ones you microwave or briefly show the oven, no idea why beef is served with sausage stuffing, also not nice and loads of it, maybe to make up for the near £12 price tag, I’m no chef but this was horrendous, I was offered to speak to a manager or a free drink, we both declined, it’s better people are made aware than compensated, the Tavern needs to do significantly better, you can’t charge people for such terrible food"

"Bit of a tricky review this one. As it was our first time here we were served some lovely complimentary dips/starters and flat breads. I found all of the dips delicious and the breads really tasty. The main courses arrived with a complimentary portion of chips. Really thoughtful and very welcomed. My wife's dish was definitely not to her taste as the content was quite cheesy even though it didn't contain cheese but I enjoyed my mixed kebab. The promised bread didn't arrive as the place started to get really busy but no real hardship. The service throughout was brilliant and the food was enjoyable I just found the meat content of my kebab to be scant and so quite expensive for what little there was. We'll definitely be back maybe when it's a bit quieter and will choose our meals a little better next time."
